Late rhs x-mas present

Its really bugging me that so much bugs no occur but on the test teams machines nothing like this happend sad_o.gif

I have a feeling that we must remove the tankrider function to get rid of 90% of the reported bugs.

Well i guess we really could need some more advanced scripters poor reador cant do it all alone, any volunteers who wanna join us in that role? wink_o.gif

on your previous post, please keep the cargo proxies (if possible) as I and many other people like riding these beasts.

Our units are not, and will not ever be compatible with any config enhancement projects (excluding finnish defense forces, everything works with it). This is including both ECP and GMR. If you experience any problems with either one of these mods installed, we will not help you as it is usually a waste of our time.

The tanks r GREAT,

BUT every time (6 so far) I DL the crew/weapons pack all i get is a weapons pbo, nothing else!!!.

I've tried getting it from ofp.cz & RHS site, I've tried using Download Acc, clicking the link, & right click save as. NOTHING WORKS!!!!

any ideas??

I would surely not say it that way Blackdog put it, but i suggest people with probs to put the addons in a test modfolder and run them without any special mods to see if the problems still occur, the skymod does nothing but im not sure if the advanced tankrider scripts and ecp or gmr work well together because of their changed configs, maybe thats the answer to some of the bugs.

Try to get the newest version of Winrar, had similar probs with other addons due to an old winrar version

Our test was on a linux dedicated server.

And I am not using GMR, ECP, Blood... whatever.

RHS, you should keep the "ride on tank", but please make it only available via "init line".

The 180meter high smoke when a T55 burns is very nice, but I think this should be activated via "init line" also.

"Problem" with cti is, vehicles are not standing somewhere on the map, you have to buy them. wink_o.gif

Don´t know if there is a script(there are hundrets) in cti where I can put this.

Not really a bug but maybe an oversight.  Looks like in some of the T55s there is an extra view LOD with an object.  The T55's disappear when CPU load increases and LOD changes.

Here is a pic of some invisible T55's burning with just a white box at the top of the turret.

I reported that bug during beta testing but they failed to fix it. Oh well :-)

I'm getting barrelnu2.paa bug on T-64BV (Naval)

Edit: Strange, I previewed a second time and it loaded fine.

It sounds like RHS studios needs to work on their teamwork/communication a bit more.

Too many cooks in the kitchen.

EDIT: The best beta testers are the public. I dont know why no one knows this yet when they make these massive addon files and then have to fix them.

BD you have to clear the mission reload it then try again you'll get the error that way, if you simply plop it down get an error and continue it won't report it again until the "memory has been cleared".

Closed betas provide some surprise and a feeling of reward at release, open betas usually involve more than simple error reporting and isn't as efficient the slower process proves better in the end look at the MArines and the Bas addons as well as FDF.

sorry, but where do you all see snorkels? and if there'd be some, tank would die as normal in the water.

we didnt discuss this function. do real t-55s/64s have snorkels? maybe we can bring such things in later versions.

The T-64s have schnorkels. Or at least one of the ones I played with did. And yes, in real life many tanks do use schnorkels to cross rivers.

Schnorkels would be nice, but I don't know if it would be worth it. How many times do we really need to cross rivers? Though it might be cool for the Naval Infantry tanks, if we ever get landing craft and they have to drop the tanks off in deeper-than-normal water.
