iNeo 0 Posted January 3, 2004 I had an awesome firefight yesterday... it lasted for 2-3 minutes, and I just love long firefights. We were about 50m away from each other on SF CSAR, I was by the Black Hawk and the enemy (I think they were two) were in the south ruined building. After some 30 seconds of shooting I ran from the Black Hawk and inside the south assault courtyard building, and up the ladder to 1st floor. The shooting continued through the window. Another enemy in the south defence courtyard building spotted me so I was taking fire from 2 directions. Went down the ladder and positioned myself infront of the door opening by the ladder. One of the opfor guys from south ruined building came in, looking up to 1st floor. So I shot him. Then I went back up to 1st floor, and the opfor in the south defence courtyard building opened fire again. I was red and needed some concealment so I popped a smoke grenade in my room. And just as I picked up a fragmentation grenade, the other opfor from south ruined building came up the ladder... So I walked up to him with a cooked nade and let him shoot me to death just as my grenade exploded and killed him. But it was cool. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
FSPilot 0 Posted January 8, 2004 So get this. I download and run the 1.9.0 to 2.0.0a patch, it doesn't work right: corrupted download (remember my ISP is crapping out like a goose on ex-lax). So because I tried to install it my original 1.9.0 version doesn't work. So now I have to download the huge 652mb 2.0.0a full version on my ex-lax crappy internet connection. Well, I'm downloading. It starts off REALLY well (10+mb per second, thanks happypuppy.com!). But I get up to 70% or so and it slows down a lot. Being a patient man I decide to go on about my internetting. I'm typing up a long post at a Christian forum when, all of the sudden, the "Copying..." window pops up (you know when you're done downloading a big file and it copys it from your cache to the target location). I'm still typing away when the window pops up. The only button on this window is the "cancel" button. This button would cancel the transfer of files and effectively trash my download. Whoops, too late, I've hit the spacebar once or twice by now. There goes a solid hour of downloading. So now I've redownloaded the file at an incredible rate and I'm just waiting for it to transfer to my desktop so I can get on with this evil program. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I just made a new account and went through all the training made it through the evasion course in about 45 minutes, pretty easy once you get the hang of it (and realise that they can hear you too). avoid bushes so you dont make rustling noises, go prone in slow mode through the water, stay away from the spotters since they'll spot you when you get within a certain distance whether or not youre making noise or not. toadlife 3 Posted February 22, 2004 I finally decided to start playing this again a bit. I played during 1.9 for awhile and got my honor all the way up to a whopping 14! :P Anyhow, I downloaded the linux version, and have been playing it on FreeBSD.
