digitalcenturion 20 Posted October 9, 2003 Yeah, the deal is this: We have a course in school in which we write letters to the editor and try to get them published etc etc and I've written a letter in english that i'd very much like to get published in an american paper, and prefferably a rather small one at that. So could you recommend any for me? Prefferably some which have web-pages so i could monitor any replies to my letter or some that you subscribe to. Thanks in advance. Hit_Sqd_Maximus 0 Posted October 9, 2003 The Daily Oklahoman and the Yukon something, I will get you the name of it but I know the owner of it and it is a real small newspaper. They only print about 20,000 newspapers a week.

Mister 5 0 Posted October 9, 2003 My favorite local paper is the St. Petersburg Times. www.sptimes.com Alternatively, there's the Tampa Tribune www.tampatrib.com I'm not sure about the Trib, but the Times has webpage where you can view the day's letters, in the opinion section. Their e-mail for letters is, conveniently, letters@sptimes.com

Winters 1 Posted October 10, 2003 Nah, the sports section for the Post sucks. I like the Daily News for the local news, sports and comics and the NY Times has more news in it from outside New York.

The Frenchman 0 Posted October 11, 2003 The Buffalo News while not the closest is better than the more local Tonnawanda Snooze erm I mean Tonawanda News
digitalcenturion 20 Posted October 13, 2003 Yeah, keep em coming if you have any. So far only sent to the Buffalo News, as all others limit the letters to 150-250 words, and mine is 380 (it appears that the newspaper culture in Finland is more geared towards longer more in depth letters while in the US more shorter ones)
