azimut0 0 Posted September 28, 2003 Hello all, I have finished all the conversions and i release the addons pack before the campaign (under test), but the pack is very very large and size 500 mo it's compressed in 8 parts, the problem is hard but i have found a way, you will be able to download the pack from my pc, you need a client called "eMule" here the link: eMule site I think this is the better way, I will release several packs of addons and later all my collection (10 Go), but if there is no sharing i will stop the upload because i need my connection.... Also you can download the older packs. When you have installed the client you can clic on the following links and the download is started: WAR OF DESERT Addons Pack part1 WAR OF DESERT Addons Pack part2 WAR OF DESERT Addons Pack part3 WAR OF DESERT Addons Pack part4 WAR OF DESERT Addons Pack part5 WAR OF DESERT Addons Pack part6 WAR OF DESERT Addons Pack part7 WAR OF DESERT Addons Pack part8 Azimut 0 http://azimut.suddenlaunch.com/index.cgi http://www.ofpc.havagame.com/ http://www.havagame.com/

bonko the sane 2 Posted September 28, 2003 It would be better if u post a list of contents,a 500Mb dload is not to be taken lightly...
azimut0 0 Posted September 28, 2003 Each parts size 60mb and there is 296 addons but i have made no list
munger 25 Posted September 28, 2003 Surely that's a fundamental part of such an addon - a list of it's contents. People aren't going to download 500 megs without knowing what they're getting.
miles teg 1 Posted September 28, 2003 No kidding. I'm a shameless addon collector, but there is no way in hell I'd download an addon pack that huge without knowing what's in it since I probably have many of them already. While I think most of us appreciate the fact that someone has compliled all these addons, a list (no matter how big) is absolutely essential. azimut0 0 Posted September 28, 2003 I will post a screen with all addons in original archive this is all i can do, i can make a list of all "sometimes there is no readme in the archive" and i can know the version or the creator, or i can reduce the list. azimut0 0 Posted September 30, 2003 I got some problems with emule, i need time, please let your client open and wait for the remote loading. Azimut 0.
frk19732001 0 Posted October 1, 2003 i don't understand how it works your e-mule thing
Major Fubar 0 Posted October 1, 2003 I think this whole things needs more clarification. - You aren't telling people what addons are included - Are these original addons or a collection/modification of other people's work? - You are asking people to install a program just to download your pack (and from the look of their site, not a very professional program) I'm sure you can understand why people are a bit cautious. azimut0 0 Posted October 1, 2003 It's true, I am not clear, I must to explain several things: What is eMule?: eMule is a new filesharing client which is based on the eDonkey2000 network, but offers more features than the standard eDonkey client, because it's opensource but under the restrictions of the GPL License. You can download Emule here: Emule site I use this one because it's for me the most popular, it's easy to configure, you have just to take a look in the menu... emule-faq Exemple: The good point is in the links, yes, because I can put a link in a web page, this link is a download, you can start the download by the link and the download is reported in your transfert window, as my first post. (emule must be open) also when I would close my emule client, if there is other clients the division does not stop. I think that the remote loading needs time to start. Mr. Snrub 0 Posted October 1, 2003 I can understand that it might be difficult to host a 500Mb addon, but eMule is much too convoluted and frustrating for the majority of us to be bothered with. (Just to clarify, eMule is a Peer to Peer file sharing program) Hope you manage to come up with a good compromise
