DeLiltMon 0 Posted September 27, 2003 Is there any possibility that you would release a landie with this pack? Afterall they need transport, and those landies in the pictures looks so sweet And I atleast do not mind waiting, it only makes it more sweet The landies are on their way, whether they'll be released at the same time as the troops I don't know, depends on how much free time I get to work on them I suppose
CrunchyFrog 0 Posted September 27, 2003 Are you going to use JAM magazines?
AKM 0 Posted September 27, 2003 Interesting question, but I don't know if UKF is obligated to use JAM, or if they even want to in any case. My question: Pathfinders and Royal Marines. So far I've seen a screen where they are wearing Jungle (Boonie) hats. Do they have their Red and Green berets? No RM addon is complete without those Berets. vade_101 0 Posted September 27, 2003 yeah, we are using JAM, and don't worry the Berets are there.
AKM 0 Posted September 27, 2003 Excellence. I have nothing bad to say now, unless these units don't work properly. Then you'll learn how to swear in something like 5 - 15 languages. AK
Jonno 0 Posted September 27, 2003 I said I'd not release no more screens, but this one was begging to be shown. I'll link it as it a bit on the large size. http://www.project-ukf.com/Jonno/images/infantry.jpg

AKM 0 Posted September 28, 2003 Looks great. IMHO, these need to be a side-West addon, not Resistance. Too many Resistance addons out there. AK
Jonno 0 Posted September 28, 2003 what makes you think they are resistance? I was a resistance fella in that screen shot, set as freindly to everybody. But our units are West, and like I said before, you can remove the goggles.
lpdotcom 0 Posted September 28, 2003 He probably thinks they're resistance cos of the AK's, but isn't that because the SA-80s aren't done yet?
Jonno 0 Posted September 28, 2003 But they dont have AK's, my unit has an AK but thats as im playing as a resistance unit.
GoOB 0 Posted September 28, 2003 3. still dont like the goggles on uk troops  I have seen many UK soldiers with goggles. Once during a TV show introducing that wierd 6x6 thing, and also from videos of UK forces in Iraq. I am sure that every armed force in the world slaps goggles on their troops once in a while. Guest DKM-jaguar Posted September 28, 2003 It's an AK47cz, one of the worst copies of kalashnikov ever made according to many sources. Â Ok, i'll stop trying to be clever now.
CrunchyFrog 0 Posted September 28, 2003 It's an AK47cz Whats an AK47CZ? I thought it was a SA Vz.58P
AKM 0 Posted September 28, 2003 No, I've fired both a Izmesh made (Russian) AKM, and a Sa-58. The Sa-58 slapped me in the face, its a peice of shit. And yes, every military slaps goggles on theirs soldiers every once in a while, but if the troopers are smart, they cover their goggles with a bit of burlap or brown or green cotton cloth or something, and leave them on their helmet. I think I'll source a GR image that demonstrates what I am talking about... right here: First image & Second image here. In both cases, the man closest to the camera has done just what I mentioned above. I'd like to see that on a few units, I'm pretty sure increasing your battlefield survivability odds isn't against regulations. Proving Murphy's Law: No combat-ready unit has ever passed inspection. No inspection - ready unit has ever passed combat. AK

AKM 0 Posted September 29, 2003 So, do I understand this correctly? As opposed to randomizing gear, you have a default model with some kit on him (The most oft used peices I assume) and then we can customize it by utilizing some INIT Field command lines? And that would be because the randomization did not function properly? AK
AKM 0 Posted September 29, 2003 Oh God, please tell me I didn't kill the thread? AK

AKM 0 Posted September 30, 2003 Awww shiiiit. Could you please answer my question while you torment me, or is that against the SATANANIC KICK-ASS MODDERS code of ethics? *Our hero hunkers down and awaits the long and uncomfortable silence that usually follows one of his senseless posts.* AK

lpdotcom 0 Posted September 30, 2003 Why not create a default model and then add some randomisation effects to the default model, cos i usually forget Init lines
