cheers for the links guys.

Yeah its pretty sweet, it seems hes swaped the oringinal trees (which were from the nampack i think) and replaced them with resistance trees. It seems less dense, so mabye hes taken some trees out as well sad_o.gif

still a quality map, and great for chopper assaults.

A much needed quality replacement for IaTrang ;)

nice work

PS.

anyone got a mirror for the teams other released map, the ww2 spearhead one?

OHH my GOD!

That spearhead ww2 map is genius, i cant belive that this hasnt been given a huge release yet!!!

Best map i have ever seen, such a large amount of work must have gone into such a small area. But it shows. Bloody good work guys.

Cant wait to create some missions for that.

If only everyone put that much detail and time into other maps, just imagine the posibilities. fantastic!

anyone who hasnt seen it and likes ofp should try it immediatly!

I agree, but I don't think it's a replacement for Ia Trang.

This map is beautiful, but the trees don't look all that tropical aside from the ones used from the Ia Trang maps. Also the forests, except in a few places, are not very dense (like in the Ia Trang map) so it doesn't feel like you're deep in the jungles of Vietnam. But because the trees are not so clustered, it causes much less lag and so you can have really big battles. Plus the rice patties, villages, and rivers are all very well made and very well positioned. So I can't complain too much. It's definitely a great map. I would just like to see at least one very dense forest on the map with more of the SEB trees. Anyways its definitely a must-have map for Vietnam War mission makers.

That's the problem. on their own site the authors say:

Quote[/b] ]

Any missions made on this map may need to be altered in the future due to changes made in the terrain between now and the full release version due sometime before Christmas '03.

That means if you start making any missions or even a campaign, by the time your finished, the island might look completely different. So there probably won't be any good missions (...ever i suspect) sad_o.gif
