jakerod 254 Posted September 7, 2003 As of right now I have factory complexs, fields of the akat02_kevy tree (which looks like could be used as some kind of harvest tree) and lots of farms. There will be more things eventually with custom buildings but i need some more texturers and modelers to help. hellfish6 7 Posted September 7, 2003 Might I recommend that you do what BAS is planning for their island - minimize the buildings. OFP by default has something like 1000 faces per building, IIRC. You only need six faces to make a cube. For the computing cost of one normal building in OFP, you could have about 166 buildings that are simple textured squares and rectangles. Think about it. Only thing is I don't like playing in towns (as well as many other people) where there is no cover cuz none of the buildings are enterable or not many of them anyway. jakerod 254 Posted September 7, 2003 I think the scripting thing is a good idea but not sure if it would work. I had the presidential idea too my team mate is gonna start work on it soon. And someone else suggested a racing place to me a few days ago which i am also considering. Edit: Ya you posted the scripting idea while i was typing the last one so i couldnt see it. Then in the middle have a huge barbed wire boarder, battlefield kinda thing. but have all the same ideas as before like the cities and junk.
