I know the concepts have been brought up here occassionally but there was an article in last week's Business Week about this. So I thought some of you might be interested:

But thats a interesting site, im more interested to see the armor and air advances than any tho :P

Something I'm wondering about is weight. How much does that stuff weigh? All the technology in the helmet looks like it would be a bit heavy. I guess enhanced neck muscles will be a requirement of 21st century soldiers

kind of hard to understand the guys speaking english with the german translator though, but the pictures were cool

the german comment was about the relation of generations of americans to their GI Joe toys. Iraq war boosts the sales and collectors buy all of it. the army has a coorporation with Mattel. the army shows them the current gear and mattel shows them the future gear.

I'd imagine that they would put a special camo film over the visor.Where on the outside is camo, but inside, its clear.

Wouldn´t you assume that they´d use some shanazzy (I just made that word up) digital pattern camo for that desert suit? That old camo is SO "Desert Storm"
