F22 raptor - air superiority plane -

Hello all,

I have 2 pictures of my F22 Raptor I am currently making. The pics aren't that great but Ill post tomorrow some new better quality pics. (Thanks to Horus for the textures help).

I currently have those working scripts:

-Working Canopy

-New Raise/Lower Gears animations

-Damage warning

-Take Off Script

-Brake Script

-Working missile bay simulating a real F22, Open the bay shoot the AIM missile and close it ;).

-Multiple other things I will add ...

I was wondering what loadouts would you want and what other features...

Hmm i hope your making interiors and retractable gear.

The F22 has movable engine outlets is that right?

And how a bout a jamming system?

Does the bombay open automatically, or do you have to manually open the bombay, fire the missile, and close it again?

There is no way you can make it to open automatically when you fire a missile.

To sxep: Interior and retractable gears are there, don't worry ;0. And Jamming system is done, I've forgot to list it there.

great job... good seeing someone making an addon ill want to use soon.. "The Hulk" came out yesterday.. theres a Comanche fight scene and Raptor.. hehe.

I don't know about the movable engine. I would need pictures and some more information :S. AS for the missile bays, here is a picture with the missile bays opened!

@Quakergamer: Well maybe its posible because you know the SCUD launcher right? well if you press the fire button the rocket will first go to a stand by animation and then he fires it so maybe if you use it and edit it in some kind of way you can manage to automate the Baydoor so when you press fire the baydoor opens and shsssssssssss rocket is out. just my idea wink_o.gif

P.S:

Wy dont you open a new post with the name: OFPGWC Update Topic so yuo can post all your updates in that post wink_o.gif

Well the scud can't move when the animation is playing ,etc :S . I might find a way yes!

And this plane isn't part of the OPGWC MOD, F22 wasn't used in any of the Gulf War :P. But I might start a topic for the other things I am making for the MOD who knows ;0 ?

Actually you could use the fired eventhandler and make the animation activate as the weapon fires.

The problem I see tho, is that depending on the animation period...the bay doors will prolly still be opening when the weapon fires,need some way to delay the firing of the weapon while the bay opens.

May be possible with the weapons cfg..the inittime and such, but I havent played with that much in the sense of delaying them

Well thats what im wondering :S. InitTime is AFTER the missile is launched, when the missile is going to start moving. I've already tried that, if you know any way let me know!

Hostle =Bay door are open and ready for missle fire.

Non-Hostle =Bay doors are closed.

I dont think that the Raptor target something and then the doors open up fast and fires.I think the doors are openened when the pilot is fixing to start something.Just a guess

QG, they're talking about moving engine nozzles that move up or down to give the jet more manueverablity.   You could name the engine models as elevators, but I wouldn't because it would make them go apart when you slow the plane down (personally i think you should just leave the engine nozzles stationary) -but- if you do wanna make em move anyway, 30-40 degrees up and down would be good.

Also, make sure the cannon carries 480 rounds smile_o.gif

You dont know how long i have been waiting for this.

On my Helldiver (has bombbay) I made it so anymode but safe the AI opens the bombbay , and they use the bombs when needed that way.

QG, did you model both of the weapon bays?  Side and bottom?

Yes I've did. I've made all the 3 missile bays. Right, Left and bottom ...

OK I will need some help for now ... I am searching for the best HIGH-RESOLUTION pictures of a F22 cockpit. If you have any of the Nova Logic F22 games could you take a screenshot in the highest resoluion of the cockpit so I can model mine and texture it :S!

I am planning on making more than just black and this camo. Maybe a desert one (Even if it dosent exist yet...) Also thanks for hte pics Lee_H._Oswald!

*EDIT* The last picture you've posted is awesome. I will use it for texturing some of the aprts. The rest of the textures I will make them!

I am sure this will be a great addon. Take your time to make the quality like DKM Comanche. Would be nice to see those two in combat together.

Yup, actually I got permission to modify some of the DKM scripts. I will use some lines of the Commanche AI script and the BAY script for the F22! I will also post pics of a beta cockpit (that will get redone when I find better pics) tomorroW!
