High detail weaponpack v1.1 released!

When ever I try to use this addon, I get the Error "Can Not Memory-map res/addons/0.pbo". What would Cause this?

A "quick fix" I have found that helps is to move O.pbo from the /res/addons folder to the /addons folder. Dunno why, but it seems to use up less resources sitting there...

sorry for interrupt but in fact the OICW porject

have already entered XM29 Block 3 stage

also the Alliant Techsystem(ATK) have already get the contract form ARDEC (US Army "Armament Research and Development Engineering Center")

for the developement of the XM8 lightweight assault rifle

which base on the technology of the XM29 porject

didn't know they were that far along, I'd seen pictures of the newer version but not of someone actually holding it.

Well, I suppose someone will make a CS skin for it just waiting for conversion?

Just a couple of questions...

1) What are the weapon names for your updated pack? (It's the only one I have loaded)

2) Does BAS intend on using your weapons in their updated Delta/Rangers pack? It was a suggestion I would have floated their way, but they shut down their thread.

Read the ReadMe.

BAS is strongly against incorporating such "heavy" textured work in their addons for performance reasons.

I believe they stated so clearly either on the HDW 1.0 thread or on the closed BAS thread.

Ok, I downloaded Inquisitors "make your own M4A1" pack and well I made three of them(M4 w/Aimpoint, M4/M203 with ACOG and Aimpoint). Well I put the information as best I could into the config.cpp and used the PBO Encryptor, yadda yadda, and I keep getting this error when I start up the game INQ_WEAPONPACK\CONFIG.CPP/CFG.WEAPONS.CLASS' : "I" ENCOUNTERED INSTEAD OF "=" Any help is appreciated. Here are the settings I have for the PBO Encryptor if that helps: LEFT UNCOMPRESSED are *.OGG; *.BIN; *.WSS; *.JPG

It means youve messed up, but without seeing the cpp its impossible to say where.

I have a general question about this mod.

There was some discussion about performance issues in the previous thread. Has any of this been adressed or is there no problem?

I like to simulate company sized action. That means about 100 men on each side. Would this mod make it crawl on a medium macine like mine? (GF4 4200 64mb 2.26ghz 512mb ddr)

Thanx in advance. I do like the new sights and sounds on AK:s btw.

If you turn down visibility to 800m or less, it should work OK. My system is about the same as yours (4200 + P4 2.26ghz 512mb)

EVISCERATOR: Well I would ask you to look it over but I figure you are busy enough over at BAS.

Bluesman: Last month for personal use, I made an mission on the Chechan map. Basically 12 UH-60's air lifted a US Army Company +/- 150 men, to the airfield on the map to secure it. It was guarded by almost a full company of ruskies. Once you secured the field you had to brace for a counter attack. Well anyways the game did not come to a crawl, here are the system specs I had at the time I made the mission and tested it. Athlong XP 1700+, GeForce2MX 32MB, 512MB RAM with a view distance of around 2000. Of course there is one person on here that will go nameless that does not believe me tounge_o.gif (HAHA just playing man)

Of course since making the mission I have upgraded to a GeForce FX card.

Nice. I'll experiment with visibility. I think 2000 is stretching it for my card smile_o.gif. I use about 900-1000 at average.

Btw I allways put my frame reqs almost to the right. For me smoothness is more important than the visuals (actually the pre OFP:R gfx were good enough for me).

It's mostly for the realistic sounds and sights I want this mod.

The xm-8 looks almost impossible to do right now, cuz its in very very early proto-type.. and the real life textures on that thing looks something out of a cartoon.

Well I finally solved all the problems I was having with the CONFIG.CPP file in the INQ Weapons Pack so now the M-4A1 with Aimpoint is working, along with M4/M203 with ACOG and AIMPOINT. So I will try and have it done soon. Oh also, when I encrypt the file to PBO it is aprox. 5meg lower in size then Inquisitors original PBO.
