Schoeler 0 Posted June 18, 2003 I'm just starting to use oxygen and still have on the training wheels, but one of the things I'm interested in doing, are things other addon makers don't seem interested in doing. Namely, creating a wealth of new plants and trees and buildings for OFP. I want to start an OFP addons nursery and construction yard. Let's congregate tree and building addons into packs and host them somewhere for map/mod makers. I'm really interested in creating a high detail palm tree pack. In particular, tropical and desert palms of all varieties for middle east and vietnam mapmakers. Also, I'd like to work on Iraqi buildings and Vietnamese buildings for mapmakers to be able to create a variety of urban settings. Not only that, but street signs, billboards, ads, cabs, cyclos, dumpsters, cafe tables, market stalls, hotdog carts, whatever, a whole mess of ordinary every day objects etc.. Anyone doing anything related to these projects, lets get the background scenery together into some pbo's, giving full credit to the authors of course. GoOB 0 Posted June 18, 2003 I'd want some new civilians, new buildings aren't a big issue for me. That is probably because i dont build islands or anything similar to that. But it sounds like a good initiative and a good resource for all the island builders out there. Hi-detail palm trees and some similar stuff has been created by Ebud and used by Nagual in his BAS Lost Island. Unforunatelly it's still at beta stage, but Nagual told me they'll relase it as a separate pbo as soon as they get rid of some LOD problems. So, maybe there's no point in creating from scratch something that's already near completition? Yea, do some havana buildings plz As for the plants, can you name them the same as the BIS plants so you could easily swap them similar to what Ebud did with Jungle everon? I haven't had a lot of time to work on it, because I've been preparing for my law school entrance (LSAT) exams which I take in October, but I've been following the oxygen tutorials and am getting ready to branch out on my own.
