the game is stupid. just my thoughts,But if they would have a free massive multiplayer server,with virtual missions or what ever it took to get that war feeling that would be awesome,But that will never happen.

Anyhoo, I was hoping for a bigger change from 1.7 and I've been very dissapointed. In addition to this pervasive lack of change, I'm running into performance problems (but the soldiers now look like animatronic mannequins now, so it's worth it! not), and whoever greenlighted the addition of rocket launchers obviously doesn't play tactical shooters. But overall, it's still the same damn game, and obviously it isn't going to change- that's enough for me to give up on it. That's all right though, as OFP, Raven Shield, MSFS2004, Falcon 4, Il-2 FB, work, school, reality, and Lomac (which will probably beat everything but the really really good parts of reality) are lined up to fill in the gaps.

Dont like the game multiplayer its boring.Wich game i love also is RTCW Eneny territory wich is a free standalone mp game and its a very good game with 50 people online shooting at each other. And Battlefield good game But no other game can beat OFP its still the best game

Mine is Baruun.

Draconian was taken, one of my old accounts. Cortheas was taken, another old account. DracoPaladore was taken, a very old account, DracoPaladin was taken, even older account. So I had to take Baruun from part of Cortheas's full name which I made for a story. Cortheas Jamal Baruun.

Reason why I have so many old accounts? I pick up AAO, put it down, pick it up, put it down. I just never could stick with it.

I downloaded it a long time ago. Then i wanted to uninstall it but it didn´t work so i thought i´de update it but that didn´t work either      so now im stuck with AA on my computer and it doesn´t even work. It´s a shame cos it really ran well on my machine...

I can't uninstall it either.... Silly U.S army. But the game is a good one, but I don't play it much.

You should reinstall it just to sit through medic training and the final "test". I guarantee you'll get that dirty feeling all over again, only more so.

You know the ping on the score table is kinda off. Use stat net in console instead, in case you didn't.

The Geneva Convention lets Medics use guns.

I just find it odd that when I'm my squads' M249 AR gunner, I still manage to get medic

IIRC you're not supposed to shoot at medics as they're non-combatants.  But if their life is in danger then they can fight like a normal soldier.  Technically their life is in danger whenever they're in the field, when was the last time a terrorist obeyed the geneva convention?

So, I just finished downloading 1.70-1.90 for the oh about fifth time. And I can't get it to work!

At about 89% of patching the game I get an error message "error finding new file" Then the patching utility closes down and I get back to the MSI. It finishes propery. Phew maybe everything is O.K! Then I go to start the game, I get a general protection fault! Please any advice on what to do?

I wanna play too, but somehow my A.S.E. and AA:AO both got fucked up since v1.9.

I cant get any Servers in the ASE, it searches and finds but doesn´t show any servers

AA:AO´s ingame browser doesn´t work either, if a reinstall doesn´t solve the problem i´ll go insane.

Before anyone mentions: I have full control over my filters and it´s not them causing my problem (neither my firewall).

Has anyone else experienced such problems ?

Corrupted download(s)?  Try downloading from the official AA site.  http://americasarmy.com

In the game, push F2 and select an open slot next to "AR" (for Automatic Rifleman).  If there are no open slots you can't use the weapon.
