redliner47 0 Posted May 30, 2003 what we really need is camo netting that can be placed over objects and will fit to that objects shape
NZXSHADOWS 0 Posted May 30, 2003 What do you mean drive in it.You want a town of camo netting?Or you wanting something to park under.
lee_h._oswald 0 Posted May 30, 2003 Every vehicle should have an option to camo it. --- "Place camo - standing" - Important for artillery e.g. "Place camo - moving" - For fast position changes. "Remove Camo" - Simply no camo. --- It must take a little time to camo a vehicle or remove it. MfG Lee
dm 9 Posted May 30, 2003 Yeah, would be a nice addition, could be done with hidden selections, and a nice little script.. hmm.. will have to do some tests on this
MLF 0 Posted May 30, 2003 What do you mean drive in it.You want a town of camo netting?Or you wanting something to park under. the cammo im talking about is omething a little like this one i prepared earlier using my MSPAINT skillz, something along this line but with different comma versions along with sizes so that you can put Hinds and other AC under them. if it does not work try the URL below http://www.strike9.com/file.as....ing.jpg
pang 0 Posted May 30, 2003 dunno if a tank fits under it, but at leat a cammo netting this thing was made by dkm mod quite a while back
MLF 0 Posted May 30, 2003 cheers, but what im looking for is something that could cover a helo or a tank.
AngusHeaf 0 Posted May 30, 2003 I'm working on a side project right now that will include a number of new camo net pieces. They will use the existing camo netting texture so that things match and can be used alongside the existing camo nets. However, the shape of the netting will be different since a big box arrangement of camo net (like the standard) isn't exactly realistic. Look forward to camo nets that will go over vehicles, bunkers, and other small to medium objects. I don't plan on doing anything large enough for an entire house since I have never seen enormouse camo nets in real life over anything much bigger than a small fighter jet. Oh and the pack of things will also include a bunch of objects for making more realistically fortified positions. Things like earthen revetments you can park vehicles in, better walls, better sandbag configurations, etc.
TopCover 0 Posted May 31, 2003 Angusheaf, would you please consider, as a side project to your side project, to make this camo also in a desert version? It would be very appreciated. L8R, TopCover
AngusHeaf 0 Posted May 31, 2003 Yep, that should be pretty easy to do. My side project will include desert textures for many of the objects such as the bunkers and fighting positions. Simple texture changes and stuff shouldn't be a problem or that much added effort.
PFC_Mike 2 Posted May 31, 2003 Don't just use the BIS default texture, look up some accurate ones!

PitViper 0 Posted June 2, 2003 most camo nets I have seen usually fit one or more 5t trucks underneath and are dome shaped.
kikill 0 Posted June 2, 2003 Yeah, would be a nice addition, could be done with hidden selections, and a nice little script..hmm.. will have to do some tests on this oh yeah! inquisitor did something like this, if i remember correctly, on his high detailed M24... that's really usefull, so we don't have to choose between two configured weapons before the mission, but in game, we can apply or remove the camo through the menu! Shashman 0 Posted June 2, 2003 Don't just use the BIS default texture, look up some accurate ones! Angusheaf said earlier that he would make them like the BIS ones so that they would fit in...Would look a bit stupid to have 23 different camo patterns in one base
Cpt. FrostBite 0 Posted June 2, 2003 I think INQ managed to do this by making two weapons. By chosing camo, the game removes your normal weapons and replaces it with a camo version. On vehicles this is not possible (in the same way I mean)
Gen.Carnage 0 Posted June 2, 2003 Quote[/b] ]dunno if a tank fits under it, but at leat a cammo netting t72/t80/abrams fit under, with some precision driving, but they fit. it was designed to cover up the M46 fieldgun and smaller vehicles tho.
