hidden and dangrous 2 looks awsome, u can even fly planes in it, its graphics look stunnin, all that and being able to steal uniforms and creap around in indoor and huge outdoor environments.

I'd bet they'll do the same every Russian game company has been doing till now and release a domestic version in Cyrillic and an international version in English.

that would disappoint me! of course they can bring out a version with subtitles, but Cyrillic is a must to keep the environment realistic.

Well, I know that after my experience with Forgotten battles, the next Russian game I buy i'm ordering from Russia so that I get the domestic version. Over there, the "deluxe" version of Forgotten Battles came with a T-shirt, a manual designed to look like a WWII flight manual, and an aircraft recognition poster of all the planes in the game ....all for $29US! And I paid $80 CDN for a DVD case .

the price of games is scandelous for what you got, since the removal of boxes the manual size has come down signicantly and they still remain at the same price :/

This is all looking really good. At least I'll have something to do while waiting for OFP2 to be released

Halflife2 and Call of Duty are looking really good, I'll keep a close look.

I don't agree with this, the price of games is kept high by piracy. OFP has been amazing value for money, Å30 for a game that has lasted me all this time.

I can't remember the exact figure but most games do not make a profit.

lol piracy, it does shit to the games industry, since it has gone more underground, using passworded ftp's and irc channels that need you to be authed, Games sales are slumping because ppl dont want the same shit regurgitated over and overt again, ppl dont want expansion packs with 1 new weapon and 1 new map for 30 dollas, ppl want good support for a game mod support and good online play, although OFP patches have stopped HL's have not, the problem witht he gaming industry at the moment is alot of the games are turning out Generic shooters and RTS's games doing the same over and over, HL did not sell 8 million copies because there was no piracy it was because it was a good game and im expecting the same will happen with HL2, its the same as the music industry they blame kazaa and otehr programs for slumps in sale, but its the fact that bands 2day are covering artists my parents listened to and that drop of 5% or whatevr it is because its all about the money.

2)it was an amazing game but nobody heard about it

3)it never sold well because there where so many games of the same that nobody bothered with it.

dont blame piracy for the gaming industries shortcummins, also 3rd generation gaming consoles are coming to there peak soon and after that peak when pc's have outmatched there consoles performance required by games ie DoomII and HL2 then the sales of PC games will rise.

As long as people can copy contents of CDs onto the internet, piracy will be a major issue and I think you're underestimating the problem. With programs like Kazaa, people can just download games illegaly without fear of reprisal, and because of human nature a large number of people will do this regardless. The PC industry isn't feeling a slump in game quality either, we have as many good titles now as we've ever had.
