One 0 Posted August 14, 2003 The scope should be mounted in a way that the end of it does not protrude over the muzzle. If it does, when firing the gun, hot gas can damage the front lens and isn't helpfull to a scope's finish. taking this into consideration, will the DE scope be fixed? Jackal326 1181 Posted August 14, 2003 Yes, I am about to begin work to fix it no, using the image posted earlier.
ruff 102 Posted August 15, 2003 i know this is asking a bit much but here i go since the guns will be carried by civilian dressed soldiers how bout skinning them with diffrent coloured pants, shoes so that there is no uniform feeling with the units wearing just the basic clothes we could use these units as agents, drug dealers, spies etc. since they have top of the line guns also i believe that guns that are mostly used in the west should b on the west side but still using the civillian clothed units and same with the weapons used by east to east and i believe resistance with wat weapons they use mostly in europe i dont blame u if u dont do it its just ice candy for a hg pack thatll be excellent either way keep up the good work
Jackal326 1181 Posted August 16, 2003 I will take your suggestions into consideration. However, several retextured BIS civilians will substantially increase the file size of the final release (Pack 1.5, the improved version of Pack One, is already lining up to be over 20MB). Add the retextures to this, and it may well be up between 25-30MB. Quote[/b] ]...also i believe that guns that are mostly used in the west should b on the west side but still using the civillian clothed units and same with the weapons used by east to east and i believe resistance with wat weapons they use mostly in europe... Having all the units on one side (Resistance) centralises them to that one side, making them easily accessible. It also enables the player to have the image of rioting civilans without the trouble of having to script West/East units to fire upon civilians. Instead, just set the Resistance side's alligiance. Jackal326 1181 Posted August 16, 2003 The scoped Desert Eagle has been fixed, using the image posted earlier as a template. A quick image I took of it can be found here. (You can update your avatar now One )

Jackal326 1181 Posted August 19, 2003 Due to a request, I have changed the Beretta Model. It is now the same model as the chrome version (much better looking) with dark textures. Preview shots can be found here. Also, at the same link, you can see a picture of the S.T.A.R.S. Modified Beretta 92F I am working on from the Resident Evil series of games. I am still undecided as to whether or not to include this in the pack, so post comments about it here, and say if you do or do not want it as part of the pack, (I'll probably include as a fun extra anyway, but state your opinions). One 0 Posted August 19, 2003 Definitely put the S.T.A.R.S beretta in as an added bonus if you've been putting in time makin it, might as well throw it in the game
Jackal326 1181 Posted August 19, 2003 I've also made the Barry Burton Configuration. Take a look.
Jackal326 1181 Posted August 21, 2003 A new addition to the 'fun' range of S.T.A.R.S. range of handguns I have decided to add as a bonus with the Handgun Project - Pack Two can be found HERE. Its another custom Beretta of my design, not based on any particular real life handgun, but adds a little fun and originality to the OFP mix.
Jackal326 1181 Posted August 24, 2003 My site is currently down due to server issues, but I think my hosts are sorting it. This means none of the links to any images posted here will work, sorry, but there is nothing I can do. Sorry One for your avatar being a red cross again, but it should soon be fixed. EDIT: The site is now back up
GoOB 0 Posted August 24, 2003 Just a quick question now before I go to bed. Will the Beretta come in a part chrome/matte black version? (As in the slide is black and the rest of the gun is chrome) Too lazy to read back and the website is down it seems. Looking forward to the handgun pack with huge anticipation
Jackal326 1181 Posted August 24, 2003 I was considering it, but wasn't sure it would be welcomed, considering the 'incident' over the finish of the Glocks. If you'd like to see "two-tone" Berettas other than the S.T.A.R.S. handguns, post your opinions here. EDIT #1: I've just added the Two-Tone Berettas. I will upload a screenshot as soon as the server comes back online (which hopefully wont be too long). EDIT #2: The site is now back up, and HERE is the screenshot of the Two-Tone Beretta I promised I'd show you.
CanadianTerror 0 Posted August 25, 2003 Nice! Im looking forward to this.
GoOB 0 Posted August 25, 2003 That S.T.A.R.S Beretta is really something, looks great!! And so does that two-tone above. Will be fun to go blasting car tires around Nogova with these guns EDIT: Will the P228 come in all black? I scanned trough the picture gallery but I only found an all black P226. Sorry if I am getting naggish in any way
MASTAKILLA 0 Posted August 25, 2003 A new addition to the 'fun' range of S.T.A.R.S. range of handguns I have decided to add as a bonus with the Handgun Project - Pack Two can be found HERE. Sxep 0 Posted August 25, 2003 OH wow those looks great Jackal! Especially the STARS berreta 92F Could you use the scope and all that extra stuff (not the sportgunbarrel) on the glock to?
One 0 Posted August 25, 2003 hey jackal how's the glock - did you get the thing working with the 2 different sized clips?
Jackal326 1181 Posted August 25, 2003 I've been busy with other aspects of the pack, and have not yet started the config.cpp of the Glocks. That is practically the last thing I have to do just short of testing the whole pack. I'll let you know my progress. By the way, check out http://sjb.ofprc.net for my quickly built main site, linking to a few other of my projects.
CanadianTerror 0 Posted August 26, 2003 Nice looking G3A3 on the preview site.
Jackal326 1181 Posted August 31, 2003 The Colt 1911 handguns are very close to completion, all that is needed is to refine the firing/reload sounds and find ones that really match the weapon. I have taken a compilation shot of all 10 versions of the Colt 1911s. Check out http://sjb.ofprc.net/Preview....lations for High Quality (top image) and Lower Quality (bottom image) versions. Feedback is welcome. (Before anyone makes a quirky comment about why so many versions, they're just for fun, like the Gold Colt 1911 is just for people wanting to pretend they're in Face/Off etc.) (Now I'm off to watch Scream 3 - )
9mm 0 Posted August 31, 2003 Nice pictures! A true must-have for any M1911 fan. What about a Para-Ordnance M1911s, as those high-captivity magazines would make a diffrence
ralphwiggum 6 Posted August 31, 2003 just before someone else mentions the trigger. when Para Ordance first came out with higher capacity(10 rds, 3 more than typical 1911) in late 80s(or early 90s), the trigger was same as the ones made by S.j.b. i recently looked through their catalogue and found that they now changed trigger type. my curiosity is on whether classic(black) is based on WW2 1911 style or not. To the best of my knowledge, the 1911s used during WW2 had vertical serrations on slides instead of slanted ones as shown in photos above.
9mm 0 Posted August 31, 2003 Indeed, there was something odd in those PO guns.  Though, i haven't noticed the new trigger until  Ralph pointed it out   .
One 0 Posted September 1, 2003 no crome m1911? thats a shame keep up the awsome work, the tactical versions look fascinating
