MASTAKILLA 0 Posted July 13, 2003 <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">While still in development, the MP7 Personal Defense Weapon (PDW) is the newest innovation from HK. This lightweight (3.8 lbs. with a 20 round magazine) defense weapon is small, portable, and defeats all known standard issue military body armor meeting CRISAT specifications (1.6 mm titanium, 20 layers Kevlar). HK designed the MP7 (PDW) as an alternative to handguns, submachine guns, some carbines and rifles. The MP7 (PDW) round is a conventional brass-cased caliber 4.6 x 30mm rifle cartridge designed for optimum efficiency with low weight and felt recoil to increase hit probability. <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">"What appears upon first look to be a weapon design to compete with the FN series P90 in 5.7mm x 28, the PDW promises to be a huge improvement on that system. Though no one could fault the engineers at Fabrique Nationale for their vision, the P90 has one reported serious flaw. If you drop a partially loaded magazine, or the gun with a partially loaded magazine, rounds will go flying, get disoriented in the magazine and seriously jam the mechanism. The heavy use of polymer again shows the design direction that the HK engineers are taking. With a conventional 20 round magazine in the pistol grip or an optional 40 round magazine that extends below the gun, one of the most amazing aspects of the gun is its size, or lack thereof. It is only slightly larger than a SOCOM pistol!" Jackal326 1181 Posted July 20, 2003 As part of the new version of the S.R.T. Pack (v2.0), I have updated the Colt 1911 portion of the pack. A screenshot of one of the two new versions can be seen here. It will be released in Pack 1.5, a pack containing fixes to all the bugs in Pack One, as well as adding new versions/configurations to the existing weapons. Lt_Phoenix 0 Posted July 20, 2003 Looking great so far. Looking forward too the next release.. BTW Hasn't the British Army replaced their Browning Mk3's with the Sig P226? I'm looking forward to seeing a decent version of this gun in OFP. And also an unsilenced version of your MP5-K would be nice too
the_unknown_one 0 Posted July 24, 2003 By the way, i have found a REALLY wierd shadow bug on some (if not all im not sure tho) where in the shadow i can see two of the gun, the secind one as if its on the floor but where the players (or user of the gun) hand is. Just wondering if youve seen this before, the_unknown_one P.S. Oh, and i really think the Colt should sit lower in the hand, but its your choice.
waffendennis 0 Posted July 24, 2003 Maybe you can make a MK-23 SOCOM US NAVY SEAL weapon? wy u should make it? Because: That weapon kicks ass and rocks as an handgun
the_unknown_one 0 Posted July 24, 2003 Isnt that exactly the same as the USP? I thought they were. sorry. the_unknown_one
Cpt. FrostBite 0 Posted July 24, 2003 eh no; th USP is a small handy gun for police duties (as an example) while the Mk23 SOCOM is a heavy LARGE (almost the size of a desert eagle) gun that really packs a punch. (the weight of the gun also reduces recoil so that you can do a "double-tap" really easy)
Jackal326 1181 Posted July 28, 2003 I have plans for a SOCOM in pack 3. Anyway, back to more pressing issues of pack 2. I've decided against the P-226 (for now) as it looked too similar to the P-225. I may however edit the model at a later date and re-include it. The rest of the SIGs will feature 8, 13 and 15 round magazines for the P-225, P-228 and SIG PRO respectively. The work on the Glocks has finally begun, and I hope to post news on them in the days to come, including a few screenshots for you  EDIT: I've just uploaded two images, one is of the the Glock 23, the other is of the more famous Glock 17. Both can be found here.
fighter 0 Posted July 28, 2003 Hi friend :-) Your Glogs are nice work, as usual (by you) I am looking forward for your Special Reaction Team v.2 with your new or updated weapons !!! fighter
the_unknown_one 0 Posted July 29, 2003 Aparet from being more shiny what makes the Glock 23 better/worse/different? the_unknown_one

No P-226 I was really looking forward to that one. The only one out now, is the old BIB Royal Marine version which seriously needs updating. Oh well. Hopefully you'll include it in the next pack
Jackal326 1181 Posted July 29, 2003 Aparet from being more shiny  what makes the Glock 23 better/worse/different?the_unknown_one For the sake of the addon, the caliber. The Glock 17 is 9mm, where as the Glock 23 is .40 (this will in turn affect magazine capacity). Apart from that, very little, perhaps recoil, but as I haven't written the config.cpp for either of them yet, I am still researching into this.
