hellfish6 7 Posted June 4, 2003 Well.. if I remember their explanation for the non-Japanese faces, it makes sense. It was because they wanted to be able to put their own faces in the game, just like us, right? Either way, I don't notice it, really. But I do understand where you're coming from. miles teg 1 Posted June 4, 2003 Oooooooh.... good point. I didn't think about that. That makes alot of sense now. However I hope that at least for the vehicle crew members and pilots that they will make fixed Japanese faces since you can't change vehicle crew member faces using scripts. At least I don't think you can. If anyone knows how using scripts please let me know. I'm getting tired of having my APC driver and gunner looking like Europeans. FatWombat 0 Posted June 4, 2003 Can't the units use Japanese faces by default and still be able to use custom faces?
rygugu 0 Posted June 5, 2003 Hi Guys I want to describe gratitude first. I am happy that our Mod is used. Although it was about the set of the Japanese face which many people desire, we got the script which can realize this. Link This script is a script which was very excellent in the thing which the user of an OFP forum of Japan created. But [Read Me] is japanese only However, the usage is very easy. 1.TEST_JapaneseID.pbo into "OperationFlashpoint\Addons". 2.The soldier of BOH is stationed by Mission Editor. 3.It should already be setface. Advanced usage 1."description.ext" File is added to your Mission. 2.And please add this line to description.ext at the head. #include <TEST_JapaneseID\description.h> Please fill in such a position, if CfgIdentities is already given. <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">class CfgIdentities { #include <TEST_JapaneseID\CfgIdentities.h> class XXXXXX { name = "XXXXXX"; face = "******"; glasses="*****"; speaker = "***"; pitch = *******; }; }; If this is performed, a BOH soldier will appear with a Japanese face and a Japanese name from the beginning of a game. However, too, this does not become precocious, although it is a smart method. If BIS does not give us an answer, we consider adding this script to ADDON. CuteQA 0 Posted June 5, 2003 I enjoy you guys mission design, but still it wil be perfect if you guys include japanese voice in the mission movie scene in the future. Also, the oh-1 AND AH-64J'S Â engine sound keeps playing even when the chopper was shot down, and any chance will u guys replace the sound with better one in the future? The current one really hurts people's ears bad, or is it possible to adjust the sound volume in the cockpit? I am happy to see u guys' next release~!
miles teg 1 Posted June 5, 2003 Thank you!!!! I just tried that addon for the faces and it works great...except when I load the game it says that "TEST_JapaneseID.pbo requires BOHGeneral1.pbo". However when I click on "ok" and when I try the units in the map editor, it works fine with no problems. Thanks again for the great work! kroky 1 Posted June 7, 2003 I played the demo campaign and the single mission and must say that it is very promising work. I look forward to see the finished campaign on the new island and I personally like the very good addons. Especially the sounds of the rifles are very good. But in my opinion the sounds of the Japanese APC/tanks are way too silent in comparison to the UH-1J which is very loud. The faces of the Japanese soldiers are very nice and I like the new animations during the cutscenes. I hope for the campaign that you will send in more troops to fight on. I mean it's very unrealistic that only 6 soldiers with an APC should retake a position that russians have captured. It would create a more realistic feeling when several squads would attack the position and when the russians would be even more. So overall good addons, very good cutscenes, but not that good the missions themselves. Get some good mission makers to your team!

hellfish6 7 Posted July 8, 2003 What's included/fixed: Quote[/b] ]It corrects that a motion of a tire was not suitable again with a texture not being displayed in long-distance LOD of Type73 Large track (open type). The cockpit of Type73 Large track is corrected based on the charge of real goods. Vehicles squadron number plate(27-2) was removed. And the Specops unit "WAiR & Ranger" was newly added. If you go to the review page itself, you'll see a comment, right under the star pics, about it being updated. For anyone that hasn't downloaded the mod yet, the full mod install file on the MOM section already includes the two large updated PBO files. This is currently not available elsewhere.
