Are they good or are they just kinda crappy? What kidn do you have? <span id='postcolor'> I have an Elsa Revelator from Ebay for 15 Euro´s. The pair I have are shutter glasses, that means the monitor displays 2 different pictures and the glasses shut one side per picture. This all happens so fast that your brain get´s the impression of 3D. It depends on your monitor, gfx card and comp if it will work properly. The monitor should be able to handle 160 Hz, cause the split in pictures will result in 80 Hz with 3D glasses. If your monitor is below that rate, let´s say 120 Hz max you get 60 Hz with glasses. It is flickering than. So if you own a monitor capable with 160 Hz or more I´ll highly suggest to try 3D glasses. OFP looks fantastic. For example when you sit in a cockpit you really see the depth of the cockpit . The instruments on pilots seat look very real and the depth of the vehicle seems to be real. Same with landscape. BTW are there other methods than shutter glasses out there and how do they work ? EDIT: Although ELSA has hit the dirt the NVIDIA stereo drivers still support the Revelator glasses. What about snipers? On 3d: If you use an NVIDIA card, there's a cheaper option I've been trying out. Go to NVIDIA's site and download the free 3d drivers there. then build/scrounge a pair of anaglyphic specs (One red lens, and one blue). It doesn't need a monitor capable of 100+mhz refresh rate to work. A bit tiring on the eyes after a while, but performs quite nicely.

Some of you may remember it. It is a 3D space shooter in space stations and mines. My freind ducked IRL whenever a missile came at him and moved not only his head but his complete body   The only part of his body being fixed on the monitor was his head. Everything else was getting out of the line of fire. It was very funny to watch but than I realized that I did the same and had not noticed it till then.  I have to add that he was not able to play Descent very long. With all that upside down and 360 turns he got a bad stomach pretty soon. Me playing OFP with 3D glasses would be worth recording with an external cam. I think I look pretty stupid while evading shilka fire in a littlebird <span id='postcolor'> lol i was making the same movements on THPS2 (skateboard game) trying to land a 900. Guest Posted March 15, 2003 My housemate and I both love OFP. This leads to confusion when visitors come to our house and hear things like "Set Curry inFlame true" (make the curry really hot) and "getpos Flashpoint disc?" //relic// 0 Posted April 26, 2003 I dream about OFP too much for my own good. I play OFP until I go to sleep often and the game carries over into my sleep, but in my sleep I'm even better because I can pull all the usual BS (nailing an Mi-24 doing 200kt with a LAW at 500m distance) but I have full freedom of movement. I love my OFP dreams, especially ones where I ambush tanks and so forth

LaPoi 0 Posted April 27, 2003 I go into spasems when in tank battles, hum the Russian National Anthem and the OFP main theme for hours when I am supposed to sleep, being the only one in my class that know what the heck a spetznatz is, screeming "Die Ruskie!!!" when playing any level in OFP, mornings at the bus stop are more like the Defender mission in OFP:CWC,snipe pretend Russians in my backyard and................ FSPilot 0 Posted April 28, 2003 I posted this once in another thread and I think I'm getting over it, but anyway, I used to freak out when I heard that noise of a bullet hitting a body. That "pwing" noise bullets make when they hit ground I could handle, the "tap tap tap" of an AK-74 going off I could handle, but that "zipf" noise of a bullet hitting someone would just freak me out. I used to jump whenever I heard it. So once I was sitting in my truck, it was at night and I was reaching up to turn on the dome light. my fingernail scratched against the ceiling upholstery and made that "zipf" noise. so I jumped and started looking around outside the car for whatever shot me. i'm over it now. i took a break from OFP, getting back into it now, made a new (less crappy than usual) mission. once i get done with these finals i'll be back in the game part time.
