icemaniac_02 0 Posted March 13, 2003 hey all, i  probably play OPF to much. just a few reasons,     when a train rolls by my house i think its a tank. (but then sometimes it is a tank, being by a Military base) but most of the time its a train. when i hear it my brain says *go prone, find cover*,     and when ever i hear a pop behind me i freak out whirl around and attempt to take cover. also my dreams are out of wack. anyone else losing it? Balschoiw 0 Posted March 13, 2003 Ever estimated the angle to throw a handgrenade according to OFP in real life ? It once happened to me, as I am a lousy nade thrower with 40m´s max aimed but in OFP and full running throw I get estimated 60m´s. I live at woods and whenever deer stepped out to have a peek I estimated the distance and brought the LAW visor virtually to me eyes Also a BIG sideeffect is the "-" key. In almost every conversation on ICQ I use it by error cause it has been automatized by my brain for OFP ingame chat

IceFire 0 Posted March 13, 2003 Which brings me to another question. How many of you actually laugh in real life when you type in "LOL" in computers. I think "LOL" means "laugh out loud". So I only type it in if the thing that is funny actually made me laugh.

edc 0 Posted March 13, 2003 Impossible, you can never play OFP too much. This kinda reminds me of one time when I was playing Black Thorn I believe. I was standing right next to a wall in the game. My ear itched IRL, and I instinctively moved my head to scratch my ear on the virtual wall.

My freind ducked IRL whenever a missile came at him and moved not only his head but his complete body The only part of his body being fixed on the monitor was his head. Everything else was getting out of the line of fire. It was very funny to watch but than I realized that I did the same and had not noticed it till then. I have to add that he was not able to play Descent very long. With all that upside down and 360 turns he got a bad stomach pretty soon. Me playing OFP with 3D glasses would be worth recording with an external cam. I think I look pretty stupid while evading shilka fire in a littlebird
