Any way...I have exported it to the game as an object...just to try the textures and the pac fromat looses a lot of detail  sad.gif

Yep, pac results in significant image quality loss. The "dithering" is very apparent. I suggest you keep a copy of the textures in a file format (PNG would be my suggestion) until BIS improve the pac format.

btw, can't you use .tga for textures?

well....I keep the PSDs at 1024x1024...so no problem...

The model is quite good for my portfolio but not as good for the game tounge.gif

I´m going to do some diferent cammos and then the interior...

Can you use Tga´s inside the game?confused.gifwow.gif ...you are puting me on....

yes...you can use TGA in game, but SUMA said that they are a big performance hit.

No, you can't, but you can use .jpgs. .tga is an alternative format for producing the .pacs.

In O2 enter the name of the graphics file by hand (extention.jpg). It will tell you there's an error, but use them anyway. The downside is that it may have a significant effect on performance.

I don't know if any other file types can be used.

Guest BratZ

Yes jpgs can be used and they look nicest. But Suma said OFP doesnt progressive them so the cpu has to do the work.

TGA's would be converted to pac and be capable of transparancy, but using alot of them cause problems(cant see the next transparant plane when looking thru a transparant one already)

The model does look nice ,but I don't get what you are saying? It looks like that in O2 but not in game?

Its always the other way around for me,looks better in game....Do you have your game settings real low maybe?

I went into OFP maxed out my details, quit out, copied over the flashpoint.cfg and now O2 looks alot better.

Actually...I work in Max....then export it to 3Ds and then import it in O2 already textured ;P

Preferreably NOT! As Suma stated earlier in-game jpeg textures may slow down FPS condsiderably since they are compressed format and viewing them requires decompressing while in-game! Converting them to paa and pac is the solution.

Of course, inventory pics may be jpeg.
