FallenPaladin 0 Posted January 3, 2003 After some months of laziness Creative has finally released some new Audigy drivers for WinXP/Win2000. They contain some fixes, e.g. some bugs should be fixed regarding "muffling sounds in some games" or so. I`ll try them as soon as I have downloaded them, but currently I`m in waiting position and more than 160 people are in front of me

FallenPaladin 0 Posted January 3, 2003 I didn`t know where to post this... Some people using Creative stuff could be interested in that. A new forum section would be useful, sometimes. One in which we could post all driver-updates that could relate to some OFP problems, e.g. the EAX problems and so on. Second topic moved today, I promise improvement *sniff*

Necromancer- 0 Posted January 3, 2003 is it for the Audigy or for the Audigy 2?
FallenPaladin 0 Posted January 3, 2003 For the Audigy, I don`t know what`s the status with the Audigy 2 drivers. Take a look at creative.com.
Necromancer- 0 Posted January 4, 2003 Currently... there are 321234 people before you waiting in line to download this file. Hmn.. Any links, people?
FallenPaladin 0 Posted January 4, 2003 Be patient, for me the waiting turned out faster than I thought  It`s only a small update, took 30-40secs to install. I try to find some improvements tomorrow, because my folks would kill me, if I turned on my 5.1 surround system at 1.13am
TaNK_Em 0 Posted January 4, 2003 /me would like to see a computer section for OFP for all the geeks like me. Read sign below
nyles 11 Posted January 4, 2003 I just want a solution to those sound problems, no matter how. All this crackling in OFP is so annoying and I can only partly get rid of it when switching to 3rd person in vehicles. And even then it comes back when another engine is started, so I have to switch again and again and again.... Playing on servers with forced 1st person view is so helluva annoying. No-one seems to be responsible for this, which is a shame. The way I see this, many people have this crackling issue. There must be even a way to reduce or nullify it as it can be turned off with that view point switch. There must be something that BIS can do about it. No VIA or Creative patch etc. helped. Maybe this patch will help Audigy owners. Still me and my SBlive are still fuc**d.

I hope this patch fixes that i cant stand it! <span id='postcolor'> When i turn it off completly, the sound will stay for some minutes and then some sounds like engine noise disapper. Most of the time, the sound is lost completly, though. Only way to get it back is to turn hardware acceleration back on, where we come back to problem #
FallenPaladin 0 Posted January 4, 2003 Creative "support" is something... I own a lot of their stuff, but very often they let me just out there in the rain. Good hardware, but crappy software and support!
Itchy 0 Posted January 4, 2003 With a bit of digging, I give you...Audigy2 drivers working with SB Live! and Audigy. Thread where I found the info. Audigy2 Driver CD Compatibility patch for Live! and Audigy1 Apparently solves a lot of issues, including Teamspeak crackling, might solve those static bugs too. Of course, if you try this, its on your own head.
FallenPaladin 0 Posted January 4, 2003 Thanks a lot, Itchy, but speaking for myself I`ll stick with my Audigy drivers and hope the best
SpaceAlex 0 Posted January 5, 2003 I tried this new drivers. They don't look much different than the previous build, but it looks like that static noise has gone. I solved the crackling problem a few moths ago already.
