knip1112 1 Posted March 30, 2019 You need to employ admins or let someone do it. This is ridiculous you cant play any multiplayer games without someone hacking. Fix it!
Grumpy Old Man 3546 Posted March 31, 2019 Why not simply join a community and get whitelisted to play on their server? Reduces the amount of "hackers" by a great margin. Cheers
Homesick 290 Posted April 5, 2019 We're looking into options on how to improve this in the future.
pierremgi 4888 Posted April 5, 2019 If I'm right: - it's possible to auto-kick any player connecting with extra mods, even signed. - so, hackers need to access to console or chat. Is there any other mean to inject a code? Probably not. For console, I'm not so skilled to enable it when disabled. Perhaps there is something to strengthen here. For chat, just disable it! Or reduce it to 20 characters and ban words like: call spawn sqf, sqs, dll... You catch the idea.

The new security improvements also have made it harder to do that. 1 hour ago, pierremgi said: so, hackers need to access to console or chat. Is there any other mean to inject a code? Probably not. Why do they? I didn't know one can inject code via chat? What I heard so far, the hackers don't even use scripts.

Hmmm, maybe dipping into some forbidden conversation here so without going into detail, wouldn't any hack need to use/apply the game's commands to do anything? It feels a bit ignorant i guess but I genuinely don't know.

And the other ones? How can you act on a game without scripting/coding somewhere?

We just have to hope there are some medics. If .kju is right, and I guess he is, there is a clear intention to harm BI (and Steam) games. So, BI needs medics and legal actions.
squirrel0311 16 Posted June 26, 2019 Unfortunately I feel like there are a lot of things warlords still needs to fix, but the hackers is definitely one of the major ones. This may not have actually been a thing but I can't help but recall playing on a server that had a VOTE BAN feature way back in 2014. I'm not sure if it ever worked but is this not something that is possible? When a hacker or griefer is present, the rest of the team can vote to ban his profile or Steam ID for a period of 3 hours or so. Another problem with this is that in warlords I think you have to be alive in order to access the vote options. 8/

Yeah I know they have Votekick but unless they changed it recently it just kicks you from the server and lets you back in after a very short amount of time. It's been a couple of months at least since I've played Warlords but I remember on several occasions my team votekicking a player only to have him return several minutes later under the same name. And if he kills you in spawn then you have to deal with trying to open the map and votekick him again before he shoots and kills you.
