rekkless 240 Posted January 30, 2019 So you all probably remember the ArmA 3 2017 survival mod that was supposed to be released in 2017. From memory the project was scrapped because of the updated lighting and graphics patch in update 1.60. Considering some time has passed I was wondering if anyone had heard any news, word or anything of this map? It looked so good and I'm sure by now someone could have made a lighting fix for it. 1

It's really bad , to see that someone has made all this great work and didn't finally manage to publish it. It's probably too much work also ! Thanks dave_beastttt for the info ! 1
EO 11277 Posted January 30, 2019 Agreed. ^^ I was also gutted when this project was cancelled, from the busted out pelican crossings to the abandoned terraced housing, Bamburgh looked special. It would be a great shame if this terrain was just gathering dust somewhere, from the videos it looked very playable. In their closing statement they said... Quote We are in the process of contacting development groups we trust and talking to them about taking on the terrain as a going concern, we can not simply let this go, too much has gone into it up to now! 2

We have so many helpfull members on this forum , that if the files were available , it would be even possible , to continue this project and make a community release. Just a positive thought !
lex__1 422 Posted January 30, 2019 Arma has never had post-apocalypse maps. It looks like a map designed for DeyZ or Exile. Perhaps the problem was the low FPS in the location. Low FPS prevails on such maps, where there are many objects of the environment not similar to each other.
dave_beastttt 135 Posted January 31, 2019 iirc, it was the visual update that broke everything and out of frustration, they decided to bin the project. 1
