Did Bohemia remove the ambient civilian vehicle module

Recommended Posts

Did bohemia take out the ambient vehicle module? I can't find it in the editor. The new three civilian modules are there and work nice very simple with no slowing down or dropping of FPS rate like some of the other mods.

I came across this doing a search System for Including Land Vehicles Into Environment (SILVIE)  but can't find it anywhere in the editor.

Is there an in-game civilian vehicle module that works for ambient eye candy.

ALICE and SILVIE never made it to A3. The new civilian population modules are neat, but SP only. Engima has made some very wonderful spawn systems for civs and combatant units, as well as vehicles.

Most of his work is only available through TypeSQF CPacks but it's worth it. I like "Patrolled Areas":

@Harzach I always try to keep the number of mods and script down in a mission when possible I like to try to use Bohemian in house stuff seems to prevent lag and FPS drop with that said i have fool around with engima stuff awhile ago I will look at it again. About the new civilian modules are you sure does not work in multiplayer environment. I was working on one of my multiplayer maps on a host server  test playing from the editor and the three civilian modules work fine for me in that environment host server and multiplayer mission ?

@avibird 1 - I disagree. Sometimes scripts are just poorly coded/optimised. For example, I've created stuff and came back several months later and thought: WTF is this?!

Last time I tried @engima's civ scripts, I never had any perf issues. Not tried them in a very long time.

The BIKI page made a clear note of it back when I originally checked, and it definitely did not work in MP at that time, but apparently MP compatibility was added back in 1.82.143761. I stand corrected. Good news!

That said, Engima's stuff is very efficient and clever. Now if only he could get those damned Armites to drive on the correct side of the road.

TPW mods generates civilian pedestrians, traffic, in house music, furniture, and lights.

FEC_A3 addons allow preplaced units and objects to remain hidden and inactive until in proximty to player afterwhich they show up and can carry out many actions.

I assume @avibird 1 is looking for a script, not mod. Also:

Quote

Short description: TPW MODS is a modular and highly configurable suite of addons designed to increase the civilian, environmental, sonic, climatic and military ambience and realism of the A3 single player experience.

I know, but it is something that does work in multiplayer (I've tested it, see below for examples) so it is a functioning option.

I use the engima script for civilians and traffic for a long time to spawn even enemies and any vehicles (planes , uav anything ) without any problem and you can manage the spawn number in order to have steady FPS.

It's a really very good work !
