I'm wondering where the server (Linux especially) is as well, but I would bet the 1.90 server you saw was launched from ingame, and is not a ded server.

A little problem with that is that blood "smoke" and explosions also seem to disappear.

Maybe it's not anymore, but atleast the first time I played I didn't know there was blood and explosions until I saw a friend playing it. I then tried to enable smoke/cloudlets and got all the blood and explosions I could wish for smile.gif

PitViper: I'm such a nice, unselfish and altruistic guy... /me tries to pretend not to wait for Dynamic Range for 1.90 wink.gif

I can't thank you enough for doing that conversion, i think getting mailed a file once is or twice is the least support you can expect.

How difficult is the conversion? As simple as maybe decrypting an 1.85 config.cpp, an 1.90 config.cpp and an 1.85 dynamic range config.cpp and running diff twice and merging the patches or do you have to edit everything by hand?

i do the last part by hand but you essentially have it right (only one "diff").

I do a filecompare on the decrypted vanilla 1.85 and 1.90 configs and simply copy the changes over to the Dynamic Range 1.85 cpp thus it becomes the Dynamic Range 1.90 cpp smile.gif

Suggestion-Why don't you make a Ingram model that looks more like the real gun.

I like the new airplane improvements, good work. Next patch mebbe some for the helicopters? confused.gif  biggrin.gif

Dunno if the whole removing of setposing an object is a good idea. Would've been better if you'd made the objects return to normal, but i didn't make the engine tounge.gif

Good observation skills. Footprints were in the game very long ago, but they somehow disapperared before demo was released, due to some movement tree reconfiguration. It was reintroduced in 1.90. We intentionally did not document this change in the change list, as we wanted to know if the effect is strong enough to be noticed. wink.gif

Yes, it looks terrific.

Good thing they disappear, though. Imagine MP games, if they didn't. tounge.gif

Hmm... I would rather have them stick around for a good while, could be used to track people, now they fade away kindof too quick.
