Original Model and Textures by: TON

Version 1.0 BETA

Editor names:

GUN: Art_Uzi

Magazine: Art_Uzimag

Soldier: West/Men/Soldier (Uzi)

Known Issues:

-It's a bit large because I wanted it to be held like a rifle, not like a pistol.

Hopefully when animation editing is possible this will be resolved.

-Sound has a strange metal clanging noise near the middle of it, and you can

hear shells hitting the ground too early. This is because it is from a video of

the Uzi being fired in GTA: Vice City, and it was a whole clip being shot off

in it.

Any bugs or issues? Email me at [email protected]

Next project: TEC-9!<span id='postcolor'>

Strange, direct linking worked on Geocities!

I think you messed up making the h-link on your page. You have the href as Art_Muzi.zip where you have the file as Art_Uzi.zip

Very Nice addon.  I think it might look better smaller even if the front hand isn't holding it, or if they hold it like a pistol.

I'll think about it, based on how many people want it held like a pistol, or smaller. Maybe tho I'll try a new model, but it will be ebs' model with a long barrel.

Nice...but it seems a little big...

But I guess it has to be to fit in the soldiers hands properly...

---EDIT: Sorry, I missed the part in the original post about the size---

Argh! It's an Uzi on steroids!

Please make it smaller. It just doesn't look good that big IMO. Match it up to the BIS Uzi and use the pistol grip instead.

I'll do that then. Im having a lot of trouble with Ebs' Uzi, which is better with a different model, because milkshape is not letting me change the textures to jpeg from bmp. Does anyone know a program that can view mdl files, besides Deep Exploration (my trial period ran out!wink.gif

never mind, its because when I resize the textures, the white part shows up. I suppose there is no way around this, but to make it be held like a pistol. Oh well, thats enough for today, Ill make it tomorrow. sad.gif

One other thing.  Although I like the sounds, maybe make the sounds so that they aren't affected as much when that sound bug in 1.85 occurs(are they ever going to release a new SP patch to fix this mad.gif  confused.gif). Right now you really can't hear anything when the sound bug happens.

I dont seem to have chopping sounds, but the only way to get over this bug is to tone down settings. I could also make it have looping sounds, but then the sound would have to be quick and nothing after the shot. This is how I helped Sturmgewehr make his Cobray M11, using sounds from a real video of a MAC11. He jsut needs to get a silenced version done, then I'll make the LODS and sounds for it, and itll be done. Trust me-its fantastic. The textures are from his real gun, the sounds, while sounding liek static, are from a real video, its very realistic too, with bad accuracy but a extremely high ROF. smile.gif

I don't have any problems when I'm like out in the desert, put when I'm in Petrovich you can't hear it.  What really is the difference between looping sounds and non-looping sounds?

heres what it sounds like http://members.cox.net/olrbengax/SOUND.WAV

THe first part of it is where I alt-tab back into OFP, you can hear the Huey after that. I reload and then fire one shot. Then you can barely hear the gun shooting.

Looping is like in the M2 or machine guns in OFP, where the entire sound is played and then palyed again. Non looping is when the sound is played for every shot.

Why change textures?.. O2 only want PAC anyways.. so just fool it and convert the textures with texview tool..

I have to change the textures because they originally come in bmp, and not in jpeg. When I convert them, the model does not recognize them and I think that milkshape then re applies them, and they look totally screwed up because I resized them by adding a large black part to the bottom so it is 512X512.  confused.gif

I am looking for a good LR300 model, the one I found was amazing but it had 14 texture files.

Shouldn't it be basically the same size as the ingame silenced Uzi, less the suppressor? (Unless the ingame one is supposed to be a mini uzi...)

why not just add the folding stock and unfold it? it would'nt have to be huge and it would fit the hands.
