[WIP] RHS/Vanilla replacement pack

Is there any chance that anyone from the RHS and/or CUP might be able to help you?

Pufu from the RHS team has been very helpful answering our questions previously, but I think right now the RHS guys are very busy with the latest update. I'll wait until the dust settles from that before adding to their workload...

Good catch - the file folders have been removed, and the PBO files are added.

while playing the original missions i noticed any autorifleman. has no gun but is running around like he has a pretend gun. pretty usless in fire fights. made the downed heli mission a little hard as the sl got killed and the medic was busy.

The RHS update brought some changes to the mods (including some messing with our configs)

We've both been pretty busy with real life stuff lately, so we haven't had time to work on the mod since then.

But I'll get this fixed ASAP.

 

The AAF side is still WIP. With the addition of RHS:SAF, we were considering adding a bit of serbian gear in the mix.

The question is: would you guys rather have a wip greg/afrf version soon or a complete gref/afrf/saf version later? (or both)

I'd rather have WIP version soon. I'm mainly concerned with the weapon replacements. The gear can come later.

Updated NATO Infantry pack is now present on the Dropbox. This version restores the missing M249, MP7 and SPC following the recent RHS release.

The two mods you're talking about did not ask Cunico's permission to use his assests. They basically stole his work.

As Crooker12 told you, we might consider making optional packs, but this will not come before we release the first, RHS only, full replacement pack. :)

 

This replacement pack is made to be used with RHS only. We know it can cause a lot of issues with other unit packs. (VSM for example will not work with our mod, as we set the plate carrier's base class to be an IOTV)

Remember me? I had that TITAN issue where the Javelin would not replace the TITAN. Well today I found the what was causing the problem for me after months of mod testing. It seems when I run the replacement mod with ACE MOD it causes the the TITAN problem. So if it is possible for you guys to make an ACE compatibility file to rectify the problem, since ACE is such popular mod it would be much appreciated if not I will still probably use the mod anyway Cause i can't stand the vanilla units.

A little bit of news:

 

We've both been pretty busy IRL so the mod is moving along really slowly, but we are still working on it.

Progress is as follow :

  • NATO Pacific faction is replaced with the Marines.
  • CSAT Pacific is still a big WIP (almost nothing done tbh)
  • The AAF replacement is done (I just have to figure out how to remove the labels from the russian vehicles)
  • The FIA pack is almost done, it's just a matter of details now.

We do not plan on making an ACE compat right now, we would rather finish the mod first. However, if you're willing to give us a hand on that, feel free to PM me.

So I just created this account to report one: the PKM model for FAA has messed-up texture which looks like it's from vanila game stretched upon the RHS model. Seems it's because the hiddenSelectionsTextures[] parameter is missing in the AFF config. 
I fixed it with hiddenSelectionsTextures[] = {"rhsafrf\addons\rhs_weapons\pkm\PKM_co.paa"}; but not sure it's the best way, tho, I'm not a modder. 

There are some other models with the same issue, but I just can't remember right now which ones. Maybe I'll edit this in later.

Hey! Been following this amazing mod since the start. Just wondering if you're still working on this, if you're busy or stopped working on this mod.

Hi Tam Dang Nguyen, thanks for the kind words. Development on this mod has been on pause for a while. It basically boils down to it being quite a large project to keep running with only two people, particularly when life has a habit of happening. 

 

However, I'm still interested in keeping it going, and hope to revisit it Soon (TM).
