New weapon switch animations.

While switching while moving is a nice feature, I don't get why the switching animations have been changed.

The old animations were perfectly good, but the new ones seem really clunky.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

try walking and running whilst doing it, and report back.

What about the new aiming crosshairs, where it moves independently of the player? I can't stand it. Anyway to turn off?

new... crosshairs? I haven't noticed any difference.

 ever since the big GB update yesterday my crosshairs now move independently of my body. I can face forward and move my weapon left and right without my body also moving left and right. Follow?

Kind of like how all FPS games are. Now its not like that.

Sounds like you have somehow enabled the aiming deadzone. Check your control settings, it's in there somewhere.

Odd, i don't they the have changed. Then again i don't play with them, I play full veteran mode.

They seem fluid enough. The only thing that looks really clunky to me is transitioning from Titan MPRL/Compact to Pistol whilst crouched - the launcher seems to magically orient into resting position on the player's back halfway through the holstering and it majorly clips through the character's head. You'll also see a single frame where the right arm contorts backwards holding the launcher just before it finishes.

I just tried the new anims and it looks and plays great. Fluid and controllable. I can't believe we finally have this feature. Did not try it in crouch though, so there may be some awkward situations with AT launchers indeed.

 

Anyway, this is a huge step forward. Combined with previous updates that made pistols visible in holsters the whole thing looks surprisingly seamless. I am going to start using sidearms again. Thanks for this BI.

Glad to have this officially in-game now Bis. Hope you guys add the ability to move while reloading Titan and similar. I don't need to run, but allow some movement, and / or the ability to interrupt the reloading.
