Upgraded Ranks

Has any discussion taken place on further flushing out the ranks available to units in ARMA 3?

 

Have you considered adding ranks such as Staff Sergeant, Sergeant First Class, First Sergeant, etc.?

 

I ask from the stand-point of better, or more precise, military simulation.

Arma is neither a military nor bureaucratic simulator.

Generally ARMA provides a base system to which you add the detail you want.  If you want those ranks you can create a mod to do it.

The units ranks is there only to define the command structure in AI groups. The highest ranked AI takes command. So it could as easy be named by numbers or letters in the editor, but the current names are more intuitive.
