Rastavovich 0 Posted October 22, 2002 ehh, no, that ain't normal. Look under east/armored/2s6m sand 2s6m green 2s6m fall
edc 0 Posted October 22, 2002 I may be just me, but is the missile controllable when no target is locked. You know, when you fire it and point somewhere else the missile turns.
USMC Sniper 0 Posted October 22, 2002 i love the smoke when you fire the 30mm!! That is a very cool effect. IMO, this is way better than the ADATS, in power and aesthetics! One question, is it the shilka thats being replaced with this or vice versa?
Gen.Carnage 0 Posted October 22, 2002 tunguska is the shilka's follow up... its more advanced and has far superior killing capacity..:)
Rastavovich 0 Posted October 22, 2002 We will overwork the ADATS in the future (new skins/config, own interior). But that will take some more time.

Garritos 0 Posted October 22, 2002 this thing looks great, im about to go test it out. now that you have made this chassis couldnt you plz throw a small turret on it and boom you have a PT-76. im off to try it out, btw you guys are the best DKM!!
Eviscerator 0 Posted October 22, 2002 er....the 2S6M Tunguska is a completely different shape to the PT-76, it looks more like a T-55/62/64 chassis: 2S6M: PT-76: T-62:
edc 0 Posted October 22, 2002 This may not be possible to code but I don't think that it can fire its missiles while moving. Also I think it might be able to have different 30mm ammo. Third I thimk it has to much armor. The Bradley has about 250 in the armor part of the cpp and the tunguska has 600. Here it shows that the armor of the M2 http://www.geocities.com/banzaidyne/heavygear/M2A3.html And Tunguska http://www.geocities.com/banzaidyne/heavygear/2s6m.html
Gen.Carnage 0 Posted October 22, 2002 errm that top picture is incorrect, its the current tunguska turret on a t80 (or so) undercarriage, look further and you will find the actual pictures of 2S6M which has totally different undercarriage.
Tovarish 0 Posted October 22, 2002 tunguska: yep, it sure looks like it, and I believe I have read it is mounted on the PT-76 chassis
Eviscerator 0 Posted October 22, 2002 well dont blame me i didnt paint it either way, the tunguska chassis still doesnt look like a PT-76, it looks more like a shilka chassis: [edit: *bangs his head on the desk* how can that^^^ look like this:] PT-76 EDIT::RalphWiggum :pic size > 100k
ACES_KEVIN 0 Posted October 22, 2002 Maybe not completely 100% realistic but still a kickass fun addon to play with. Kevin

But that will take some more time.<span id='postcolor'> If you plan to give the ADATS an overhaul, how about making it with a chassis on which it has actually been made. That could be the M113 which to my knowledge is the only used mobile platform for the ADATS (in Canada).
acidcrash 0 Posted October 23, 2002 well for a start there is also deffinatly a M2 bradly version (or whatever its designation is with the ADATS system), and besides, it wouldnt be a matter of "placing a new chasis under the turret" it would require them to remake it from scratch, i know im more than happy with the adats as it is
munger 25 Posted October 23, 2002 This unit is great except for the armour - there's no way it should take more than one LAW/RPG to kill it, that's just ridiculous. I'd suggest a figure of around 70 based on other unit's armour levels. Apart from that I really like it. The Shilka interior doesn't bother me as it's probably much the same in real life and getting hold of interior pics for one of these would be tough to say the least. The missiles aren't too powerful like they were with the ADATS, however they do seem to miss quite a lot - even slow flying helicopters manage to avoid being hit half the time which seems somewhat unrealistic for a relatively advanced system like this. I would also like to suggest that the three camo schemes be split into separate downloads as the current 7MB PBO is a bit large considering most people would probably be happy with just one paintjob. Also related to the camo, I was wondering why one of the schemes is called Sand when it is green? But that's just a minor point. All in all, another great addon from DKM. The Sharpshooter 0 Posted October 23, 2002 Great Addon really! But, I did a mission where a 2S6M had to hit me in the night. To my surprise neither the ADATS nor the 2S6M had any bullet tracers at all, at least I don´t see them. But I can see the tracers on the vulcan and on the Shilka. This should be improved I think they should have tracers. The missiles of the ADATS are very very accurate, but the missiles from the 2S6M aren´t that accurate. I think I saw the missiles doing up and down movements, when it should go straight like the ones in the ADATS. Constructive Criticism

Garritos 0 Posted October 23, 2002 Well i didnt mean to start a flame war here but the chassis of the the DKM model looked very simular to a PT-76. it would be nice to have one of those also. but lets get back on topic before a moderat0r gets trigger-happy. I think this thing is awsome!! the textures dont exactly match the BIS textures but i really like them. they may border on cartoonish and the details seem to be part of the skin and not the model. i think the dessert one should be a little more yellow also. the AI really handles this weapon system well and its a joy to operate yourself =] I really love the smoke effect from the guns and the fact that the unit gets darker as it takes damage. All I can say is GG DKM, this hardly seems like a beta and I cant wait for the final version.
