Walkero0 15 Posted October 11, 2015 Hy! I think this comes from the body rvmat.
voxid 10 Posted October 11, 2015 thank you for your help but the problem does not come from there
roberthammer 582 Posted October 12, 2015 That looks like a _AS map working (AmbientShadow map) in your rvmat which only shows up in shadows
voxid 10 Posted October 12, 2015 when I removed the rvmat I still have the same problem
da12thMonkey 1943 Posted October 12, 2015 What format are your textures for the main body of the car? _CO.tga? or _CA.tga? Does the main body texture have any alpha channel parts.
voxid 10 Posted October 12, 2015 when I just put a color code I have the same problem
p1nga 23 Posted October 13, 2015 This is 99% of the time due to an alpha channel, could be in the co or nohq

p1nga 23 Posted June 8, 2017 convert your source files into TGA's if they are not, and then open in photoshop and remove the alpha channel, save and try again.

Same as p1nga(s)? suggested and make sure to separate any parts that need opacity to have their own texture and rvmat set. What is happening is the _CA format being applied to a solid texture is causing a "ghosting" effect that only occurs when ambient occlusion settings are enabled, otherwise they are invisible. If you must have something that you want to be solid but also have gaps such as a fence, then you need to use the _co format. The downside to this is that there is no opacity, the texture is either opaque or it's not, there is no in between.
