Huey uh1 chopper

My question here is do we need another Uh1 chopper?

I spent the time and made an additional one .. yes I know there are already tons out there.. the SpecOps huey was pretty great too!

Well I made a uh1c variant that has the one door on each side and one window on that door. I think its a little shorter then the Uh1h and uh1n varient.

What do you guys think? Do we need another?

nope, i think the nam pack has hueys pretty much covered, it has 2 UH-1C variants and a UH-1D and UH-1H, although, there is no transport UH-1A/B (same shape as the UH-1C) that has been done, i think there are lots of later versions too, this is the only model i havent seen being made, do you have any shots of your UH-1C?

yes i do have screen shots.. but i was wondering the interest before i posted them.. I personally love the uh1 choppers..thats probably what drive me to make my own workable ones.. I used some cockpit features from the spec ops chopper with permission.. they did such an awesome job on it.. why recreate it all over again.. so i saved a little time there..

Yeah, but that was with Martin's old UH-1 that was made without Oxygen and turned into a blackhawk at a distance.

Or are you talking about UH-1's not released yet? If so when are they going to be released??? If not soon then I think that Adammo should release his. OH... there is another difference also. His is a U.S Marine Corps UH-1C. I'm guessing that all of the SEB UH-1's are U.S. Army so I don't think they'll conflict. That way Cpt. Moore's UH-1's can be used to launch Marines from that LSD addon in order to go raid VC/NVA positions.

the new ones im talking about, and i think they should be out in the next couple of weeks, anyway im just trying to make sure there arent two addons for exactly the same thing, as im sure Adammo wouldnt want as if it was say a marines helicopter it would offer more diverse gameplay for missions, or if it was a transport helo it would cover all the early days of the war (you havent mentioned, as im pretty sure all UH-1C's were gunships)

well OP GWC have a UH-1N coming as well as ballistics

I forgot to mention.. one fo the choppers is a medivac chopper

the other is a standard gunship that carries 2 crew plus 4 passangers plus 4 MG's plus 2 rocket pods.

These choppers look great! remeber the uh1c is smaller then the uh1n.. so pls check the scale before releasing them..

dont worry, all those choppers (except the AH-1G) were modelled by SelectThis, ive modelled the UH-1N(from scratch) for Ballistic's so there wont be any conflict of scale, i believe the whole pack (which includes 4 more helicopters, about 20 new weapons and brand new soldier models) will be out in a couple of weeks i think, but maybe you should think about IM'ing SelectThis and you two putting your heads together and maybe collaborating to make all of the hueys used in vietnam? as with your two models i think only an unarmed UH-1A/B is needed and it will have been accomplished, it also means that mission makers will know that if people have the nam pack they will have all the hueys and can then incorporate them, it also standardizes the look, so there are no differences, anyway it was just a thought.

[edit: just incase theres any confusion, the SEB Nam Pack hueys are a completely different project to the UH-1N from ballistics]

ok here is a link to the medivac chopper I have been working on. It is now finsihed..

The Gunship is also finshed except for a strange dual bullet streaming bug that I am looking into.. i think its a bug with the game and not the addon.. but I'm checking on it now.

I dont know that we really need more. It wouldnt hurt but it should have something to offer that the other huey's dont have.

Its up to you. Or how about an upgrade to the Little bird pack *cough* faster minigun fire if possible *cough*

wow that looks very good, is it a modified version of the UH-1H? some of the things look familiar like the rotors, but its still great work!! i love the skin, now i definately want you to IM stt to see if we can get all the army hueys with this skin too as it looks great!

I used the rotor model and the interior pilot area from the chopper.. but not the body or cargo area. I figured why recreate a great thing.. plus it saved me a ton of time..

also people can NOT heal at this chopper.. it is only designed to fly injured out to a MASH unit..

Adammo: Your UH-1 looks outstanding! It doesn't make any sense to me why both yours shouldn't be released. Sure, we currently have the UH-1H by SelectThis, but there is no UH-1C out now. I know about the ones in the 2nd Nam pack, but it sounds like it's still going to be some time before they are released.

Not everyone should have to download the Nam pack when all some people want/need are the Hueys.

We need a UH-1C gunship now! It would be great to have a slick and a gunship to play with now, without having to wait around for the Nam pack.

Also, yours have totally different textures... Even when the Nam pack is out, it would be nice to have some different ones.

I'm tired of not being able to put up a good fight in a Huey... A gunship would be greatly appreciated! Please release them.  

I was rather surprised that SelectThis didn't release a black Special Forces UH-1C to go with the UH-1H.

That would have been very cool..

From what I've heard, all the Nam pack Hueys are done... I'm not a mod maker, but it sounds like it would be very easy to have released a UH-1C with the same textures that are on the UH-1H.

Yeah, you guys are getting really good at this!! There is only one problem with all these new great looking models…they make the original OFP models with low texture resolution look really bad

Yeah but please leave off all the USMC symbols and stuff. Best to leave Adammo's UH-1's as USMC Hueys and the SEB pack U.S. Army Hueys. But if you just mean the basic textures (without all the USMC markings) then yeah that would be cool to see as his textures indeed are very very good.

It's in US decals for the time being, but will ultimately be in Argentine colours..

The doors are great! Any chance of sharing the secret on how the doors work? yes i understand that are just the door from the houses but how did you get them to slide instead of open.. thats a very cool trick.
