Lsd is released!

Right, could someone post a quick line for a helo's init field that getpos's the LSD's position and then setpos's a helo to the proper coordinates ... perhaps one for each helipad? Would be mucho appreciated by many, I think. chrs, jl

I just made a awesome mission with Adammo's Little Birds and Fransden's U.S. Marines. I got the Black ops (simulating U.S. Navy SEALs taking off from the deck in a MH-6 along with two AH-6 gunships as escorts and then a Chinook full of Marines.... all of them taking off from the deck. It looks so incredible!!!!!!

I LOVE THIS ADDON!!!

theres no point having it in 1.46, you cant have vehicles/objects on top of other vehicles/objects, so it would be useless

Crap I cant find the static lsd. I looked where the read me says but I cant see it. Also both the pbos are in the res addon folder

put them n the normal ofp add on folder and it might work smile.gif

i run on nvidia tnt2 and had no problems

how do i get to the bridge?? i keep going around it circles and getting lost!

this thing is huge!

To begin on the deck you have to put this is the choppers init field:

this setpos[(getpos this select 0),(getpos this select 1),7]

I don't know if their is any way to get the AI(artificial idiots biggrin.gif ) to land on it.

Now all we need it the AAV7 and CH46 to be released and we'll have cool vehicles to land/drive on it.

ok the addons go in the normal folder addon folder and not the resistance addon folder (thxs Snoopy)

this is the best> Someone make a cool mission, like free the ship or departing from ship cough miles cough ^^

Ok, tales of war are the best, but besides that, I am gonna give u a bug report.

K as u know already u can get shot from ai from anywhere inside the ship as if it didnt exist.

It rains inside (check screen shot)

At nit even thoe the inside of the ship is modeled lit up, the model of soldiers and other stuff is dark (check screen shot).

(u can't do anything about this) Ai is dumb and falls off brigde lol

another thing is that like if u put a vehicle inside the bay, he will be able to shoot stuff outside like flying choppers and so on, while if the choppers try to shoot that vehicle the bullets and rockets will impact with the ship (that makes sense). i know nothin about modding and codying but I guess that should give all the walls inside the same characteristics as the walls inside buldings smile.gif

I know that the giant "H" that you can find in the editor makes it so that when you put it down the helicopter will land on it (assuming you make a waypoint to it), they also have an invisible version, so maybe you can have that on the deck?

tried that it didnt work, I thinks some1 with gr8r skills in the way of ofp scripting should do it.

Well this thing is everything I had hoped and more!  the only bugs are accually in OFP's engine. I think version 2 should be a beauty patch.  there are some areas that need more details and some flat objects.  Im heading back in to work on my new landing mission =]  here is a flight crew preping an SH-60 from the opening cut-scene:

I got a Mi-24 to fly like 2 feet off the deck of the LSD and drop me off to place satchel charges. After I placed them it came back real low again and hovered while I got in.

1: It's spelled Frandsen

2: USMC doesn't have Chinooks. They have UH-1N Huey, CH-46E Sea Knight, CH-53D Sea Stallion, CH-53E Super Stallion and AH-1W Super Cobra. Of these I know the following is available for OFP:

UH-1N Huey:

Several flavours of Hueys are available. I dont know if any of these are the N version, but either that can be ignored or someone can modify the existing Hueys.

CH-46E Sea Knight:

On http://www.concept-5.com/ballistic/ you can follow the work being done on a sea knight.

CH-53D Sea Stallion and CH-53E Super Stallion:

I'm not avare of these being developed for OFP. Anybody?

AH-1W Super Cobra:

You could use the original Cobra in the game (don't know which version it is) or have it modified to be a better representation.

Cliiping needs to be fixed. You can walk through walls, and i fell through 3 decks. When i got to a stair case i kept falling into the water when trying to get up the stairs.

But apart from those bugs.....

THIS IS FUCKING EXCELLENT!!! Excuse the language.
