cybrid 0 Posted October 9, 2002 My question is, Have you ever drove a vehical so long that you used up all its fuel? I just did, I was driving a Hum-vee around Everon for exploring purpouses, after about 45 min the guy says "1, fuel low". And little while longer it completly runs out of fuel. I personaly thought that you could last somewhat longer than that, as the vehicals with the gauges never seem to go down, but I guess I never used those for such long periods of time. ralphwiggum 6 Posted October 9, 2002 I did once...during Convoy(?) from 1985 campaign. had to abandon it near La Trinite. my guess is that in RL, hummers last long.

walker 0 Posted October 9, 2002 Hi cybrid Regularly if you are not careful while playing BS06 Planned Defence fom the Chain of Command. It is the only mission I know of where you and the enemy can experience a Logistics Chrisis. The normal mission lasts up to 5 hours depending on enemy strategy and whether you survive it. I am making a 48 hour mission where supply convoys and supply dumps play a big part. With Strategic missions becoming more common we may see supply constraints effecting missions in a more realistic way. That is certainly one of our aims at the CoC Kind Regards walker
Kermit 0 Posted October 9, 2002 I have never gone from full to empty except after taking heavy damage (I think Behemia Interactive Studios modeled realistic fuel leaks besides the scripted one in the campaign, because I have experienced them before), but I have seen the meter on the helicopters go down about two centimeters by the end of some of my flights. Barier 0 Posted October 9, 2002 I never ran out of fuel, but i always wanted to see a mission when fuel trucks would be neded.
Mister Frag 0 Posted October 9, 2002 I've seen it in a couple of missions where the designer has not topped off the tanks on vehicles. It's another small feature that adds a lot of depth to OFP and the missions people can come up with.
cybrid 0 Posted October 9, 2002 My problem with the patch Just because the trouble shooting page rarly gets visited, I thought I'd post this here.
bn880 5 Posted October 9, 2002 Remember, when you are using the turbo key(flooring RL) constantly or driving a HMMWV at 100+ Km/h you will run out of fuel quickly in RL too. Only prob is I have not seen driving slow in OFP save any fuel, on the contrary. Just letting a vehicle idle in OFP for a while will also use up all your fuel fast. A few people ran out of fuel playing my Working Mission Nogova. Where your initial job is being a bus driver.

edc 0 Posted October 9, 2002 I don't know if I completely ran out of fuel but I used up maybe 80% of it in the Zodiac going from the little island in the river type thing in Nogova to the town in the SE part of the island that has the docks(i can't remember what its name is)

Harnu 0 Posted October 13, 2002 I was flying an A10 around in the mission editor. I had to leave for a little, so I set the plane on an angle. So it just kept flying around in circles. I got it just right so it didn't lose and speed. I got back a little later and there was || fuel in it. Then I flew around some more and crashed cause I ran out. sseagle 0 Posted October 21, 2002 I ran out of fuel a few times when I was mapping out all of the islands for OFPEC, both in OH-58s and Hummers. Wonder what ever happened to that, I still have two islands completely mapped out

mads bahrt 0 Posted October 22, 2002 You will run out of fuel in the first resistance mission if you choose the motorbike and don't refuel it.
Papageorge 0 Posted October 22, 2002 I have yet to ever run out. I really tried too. I have my latest "training" map. Your part of a 3 man spec op team helping the local res protect a small camp against a russian team moving in with a 50% chance of enemy snipers already in the area waiting for that one clear shot. In a nice Civie town for the whole, MOVE YOU DUMB CIVIE!!!!! aspect. I added a good ole' back round Civie plane for fun sound... i test played the civies quick, making sure all their waypoints were nice and semi realistic. Which weren't to bad actualy. So i let the game run to make sure the Res BMP didn't get stuck anywhere off road like it had done in the other tests. Let it run for a while... the friggen plane owas still going strong after like an hour of testing. Just flying in circles as a "spotter". lol.
