Escape from prison

In the mission Escape from Prison, everything goes well, then after a while I get in a no-win situation. If I leave, then the Russians will corner and kill me. If I wait, they might kill me if I move. I am at a loss as to what I should do: leave now, or wait for the UAZ?

run to the bmp and mount in gunner position

load heat and have some fun

but move quickly after u have killed everyone there, cos a t80 or two comes rolling in soon

leaving on foot works too

As soon as you land. Run behind that building you are near. In the hallway theres an AK and a PK. Take those and have some fun! Fight your way to the chopper, take off and make those russians wish they never met you!

heres how i did it....

from the tent go right into the alcove and grab a ak74 - kill the crew and any near by soldiers - grab the bmp and drive it to the Hind - go to gunner and kill the pilots and then take the hind to the other side of the island.

or

blow up the hind and go cross country to the other side of the island.

When you land follow the guard to the tent. Go into the tent and wait like 1 min. After that it will turn to midnight. You will be looking at a fire with some guards around it. What I did was run to BMP and get in really quick before they shoot you. Then just drive out of the area dont stay in too long or you will gewt blown up by helow. Bail out just when you get out of the town and run up that mountain. Just keep running in that direction forever then you will eventually find Friends somwhere. The map says to use the stars but I could never find the big dipper so i just kept running.

Cool, I just got to that mission and didn't know what to do either.

Close as I got was when I turned the corner on the way to the tent I just jumped in the BMP and took off, but the T80 kept getting me.

That's a good revengeful idea!, waste a few with the AK, get in the Hind and destroy the town

I just played that mission again, This time, the Hind took off before I could get into it. So I killed everyone in the base. And had some fun with other people

After a while, a T80 came. I blew it up with satchels. I headed west, found more soldiers, killed them, and a T72, blew it up with RPG's. Then a BMP came along and I took it out with a swift RPG. I tried going futher but it fianally took me to the cutscene where I'm now in the mountains.

Final stats were:

T80

T72

3x Officer

Officer (Night Eq.)

4x Spetz natz

2x BMP

RPG Soldier

2x Machine Gunner

15x Crew

20x Soldier

UAZ

I ran to the bmp and drove it over the the hind without killing anything (well I may have crushed a few soldiers), if your fast you can get in the hind before they figure out whats going on. I lifted off and cause alot of carnage, including killing 2 BMP's and a t-80 and a bunch of soldiers. On my flight back I came across some other base where I came across a shilka, and I dispached it fairly quickly.

I eventualy landed inside the american base but the cut-scene shows me talking to the private outside the base .

Another possibility to finish that mission:

If you leave the hind, wait until the pilots move away from it. Then run and climb into it. Sounds easy, but is hard as hell. But it works (be smart and save your game before you try) !

You`ll get shot ten times and one time you`ll be able to simply fly away

I finished it yesterday.

I jumped in the BMP, ran some guys over, jumped in the gunners seat and shot as many as I could, then got in the hind, destroyed the T80, BMP.

Yes, watch out for those Sheika's, there's a few of them. Just stay low.

You guys must be good shots. It tried using the AK but I was way out numbered.

Your best shot is going for that AK in crates in the building alley. It's challenging but it's not impossible.

Afterwards just board the Hind, stay low and fly towards that friendly base. I landed right near the nato soldiers and never had to play the star-guide night mission in between.

i found a glitch when the guards r walking to u in the tent jump in the bmp and kill them they wont do anything and they will have there guns on there backs.......and the soldiers wont get in the hind

lol i always ran straight to the chopper, got in before they opened fire. killed them all and made my way home

Thats how I did it the first time. Theres a couple of shilkas on the hill though.
