Tankbuster 1746 Posted January 21, 2015 Just finished updating to 1.38 and now the game crashes instantly on launch. I get the windows dialog saying Arma 3 has stopped working. No RPT is made, so I'm a little stuck I've verified the game cache - it came back fine. I've tried with mods and without - no difference. I've tried using the steam launcher, Maj. Shepards, launcher, no launcher, all the same. Instant crash. :( Here's the 'problem details' from the Windows dialog... Tankbuster 1746 Posted January 21, 2015 cant defrag, steam is on an SSD. I don't use the steam launcher normally, I use Maj. Shepards Arma3 sync, but I've tried both of those launchers and no launchers with the same result. Insta-crash. :( Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

LondonLad 13 Posted January 21, 2015 I can confirm the above is definitely the reason - I have changed my value and the game now launches If you've manually, or used Freds41 tool to tweaked your registry to enable 'UseLargePages' (equal to the value of 1) then this will fail to load ARMA3 You can manually set the value back to 0 (zero). Path and value below (regedit): [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\arma3.exe] "UseLargePages"=dword:00000000 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Hud Dorph 22 Posted January 21, 2015 Tanky when you started using Freds malloc you set the "uselargepages" in the reg edit to 1, This have to go back to 0. Heres ho i did it. 1. Run the regedit 2. Go to find and type in "uselargepages" without the quotes 3. When found dblclick the REG_DWORD and set the value data to 0 instead of 1 Carefull with the regedit - dont do anything wrong.
