the p3d files are different, bis users a p3d compressor/optimizer, they havent yet released this so addon makers can only use mlod for the minute

Unfortunately orginal addon features only a civilian unit, so here's the little thingie I made.

This tiny addon adds US soldiers (an officer,a soldier,a black op and a sniper) that carry M1911A1 pistol, to unit menu in the editor. Orginal Taiwan Workshop M1911A1 Addon REQUIRED!

Anyway, great addon (the pistol, not my packed cpp wink.gif )!!

This baby had been used by the US Army as a standard sidearm for over 70 years until it was replaced ny Beretta in early 90-ties!

I don't see the slide moving on it.

Maybe my eye isn't fast enough to see it, but if it does then I don't notice the slide moving. sad.gif

If OFP:R supports moving slides, why didn't BIS make the official handguns with moving slide??

I don't think there is a moving slide on this one unless I'm not seeing it because it happens so fast or because it has something to do with the resolution of the textures. But all other weapon animations have worked for me so I don't think that's it. But I suppose that technically it is possible although even if it was you probably wouldn't see it except perhaps when you reloaded the weapon kinda like the revolving cylinders on Kegetys's revolvers.

I just tried it out with a time-decceleration script and I can confirm the slide does move back-fast.

Even if the slide does move back and forth at a near supersonic speed what is amazing is the technology can be implemented into handguns, and that alone is nifty. If your having trouble seeing it, try moving to a outside view, pressing the * key, and swiveling the camera to the side. With a time-slower-downer script, you should be able to see the slide flicker back before the recoil of the gun commences.

Actually, it just playing a magic trick.

I made this addon and trying to find the way for making it act like blowback. But I didn't know how to make it move.

So, I make one more slide and change the property like flash.

That's the best way to make it like "blowback".

If anyone know how to make it really move, please share with us.
