theavonlady 2 Posted June 27, 2002 We discussed this issue of opening up a separate forum for Resistance several months ago. The vast majority of forum members were against it. We didn't have one for RH. Are you planning a separate one for IL, too? How about RESISTANCE:GENERAL, RESISTANCE:TROUBLESHOOTING, RESISTANCE:ADDONS&MODS, RESISTANCE:MISSION EDITING, RESISTANCE: NEWS, etc., etc.? Are we just going to pile everything having to do with OFPR into this single subforum? Too much! Bad move! Close it up and put it all back in the normal forums, please. Rhubarbman 0 Posted June 27, 2002 Well i think its really just to stop all the ppl flooding the forum with resistance posts. after the release and when its all quiet on the flashpoint front they will prolly close it and delete it.
Placebo 29 Posted June 27, 2002 This forum is here to avoid spoilers and such like being posted in General and Ofp missions, it was either that or we go back to editing the posts of all the forum users too lazy to bother to put ***spoilers*** In their topic heading, do you want that job? I certainly don't, with a combination of all my present college work and the forum being slow as pig shit I really don't need the extra work. It was discussed between moderators over the last couple of days, all who voiced an opinion voiced the opinion that an individual forum for Resistance was the best way to go about things. If you'd tried being a little more patient I would have posted a pinned topic explaining what threads were to go in here, it really isn't complicated (when the forum decided to start working again that is). Any general Resistance discussion, including requests for help in Resistance missions go in here, Resistance mission editing, goes in regular ME, Resistance Addon/Mod discussions go in regular A&M, Resistance troubleshooting goes in regular TS, see a recurring theme there? This is an anti-spoiler forum, for those of us who don't want to read about the missions or see screenshots of the game we don't have yet. This forum can vanish in perhaps a month or two once the world has caught up and completed the campaign
Espectro (DayZ) 0 Posted June 27, 2002 If they dont close this one, the "general" forum will soon be dead. Bad move, splitting it up, since people will think noone plays anything and will quit the scene as well.

RedStorm 0 Posted June 27, 2002 Like the man said, it'll be gone in one or two months, so just leave it be for the moment
Sith 0 Posted June 27, 2002 Espectro: Like Placebo said, once the game has been available for a while and we dont have to worry anymore about posts spoiling 99% of the game for those who have not played it yet, we'll probably close down this forum and allow spoiler posts in the General forum again
Placebo 29 Posted June 27, 2002 People posting screenshots are posting spoilers, people will not think that posting a screenshot is posting a spoiler, thus they will post it in general not in mission spoilers. You've already posted a load of stuff I didn't want to see, wanted to find out myself when I have the game. That's the point of having this forum. As for General dying, there were hardly any discussions in there anyways, those general discussions not related to Resistance can continue to be posted happily as before. It can be spoilers for anything - SP, Campaign, even MP missions. All nice and separate and cozy in its own little folder.

HK (HunterKiller) 0 Posted July 4, 2002 I agree with Avon here, i posted on resitance forum a troubleshooting problem, which was indeed, probably correctly moved to troubleshooting, but i thought it more topical in resistance as it was a resistance problem, you said you don't want the workload moderators, well you just caused yourself some extra workload didn't you.....
Placebo 29 Posted July 4, 2002 If people post things in the right place there is no increased workload, there is a thread explaining where things go, perhaps I used words that were too complicated for some people, most are understanding it just fine.
