Hello Ruthberg,

I can't use some weapons from RH M4/M16 weapons pack with your AB mod:

RH_M16A2 - a lot of errors

RH_M16A4gl - a lot of errors

RH_M27IAR - "scope error"

RH_SAMR - wrong sound (!)

I dont know why, but without your mod RH M4/M16 weapons work fine.

you are part of the ace 3 team as i read.

does this mean that your mods (ballistics, atragx, kestrel)

got included there, or do you guys develop a different ballistic

system for ace?

I am currently integrating my mods (AdvancedBallistics, ATragMX, Kestrel4500) into ACE3. But you will have the choice between 'simple' and 'advanced' ballistics.

'Simple' means properly configured vanilla ammo- and weapon parameters combined with wind deflection.

Version 3.5 Changelog:

-Made all config entry names ACE3 compliant

-Removed all 3rd party ammo and weapon config data


This is a rather big change, since 3rd party weapon packs are now forced to have their own sets of (ACE3) ballistics config data.

However, everyone is cordially invited to help oneself here:

A config addon should work. Ruthberg only removed the third party configs that were included in earlier versions of AB.

Given your work with ACE3, does this work in synergy with the ACE_Ballistics, or should it be kept separate?

EDIT - In addition, I was taking a look through your config in the latest release and it appears the 3rd party entries are still in there. Am I losing my mind?

Yes, it does work with ACE_Ballistics, but ACE3 will soon have it's own AdvancedBallistics (AB) module.

a) You will still be able to use the standalone version to have AB without ACE3.

b) You will be able to use the ACE3 advanced_ballistics module to have AB in ACE3.

1. Is this mod still going to be available stand-alone after ACE3? I rather want to use single specific mods instead of large packages that do many things.

2. is it possible to add a module that makes it required to have this mod loaded in MP? CBA has a module that kicks players not having it loaded. For PVP scenarios it would be required to force its use for all players.

Fired a .50 Sniper rifle and an MX on 700 both and I did not see any wind deviation. Shooting 90 degrees against wind direction with wind set to 50 in mission editor. Something break while installing or are ballistic effect this minimal on this distance?
