Degman 73 Posted July 16, 2014 The Balkanfeldzug is an upcoming modification for the Arma 3 game that will contain historic WW2 forces from The Balkans: - Independent State of Croatia (Axis forces) - Anti Fascist Movement (NOB/NOP/NOR - partisan fighters) - Chetniks (Serbian king's troops) The Modification is being developed in agreement with IFA3 developers (which I am member of) and IFA3 will be required for playing. ----------------------------------------------------------- The Ustashi Militia (Ustashi Government Party's Gendamerie) - BLUFOR The Ustashi militia was Independent State of Croatia's volunteer army whose task was defense of the newly created country from the Western ("Capitalist, imperialist") and Eastern (Communist) enemies, as well as anti-partisan & Chetnik operations in the domestic terrain. Ustashi (word meaning: revolutionary) movement was formed in Italy under leadership of poglavnik (head-man) dr. Ante Pavelić. It was formed due to Croatian people's bad position and exploitment in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, organizing terrorist attacks in order to show Croatian people's disagreement about it's policy. When "The Croatian Question" (the solution for Croatian position/exploitment in the KY) was nearly resolved between the two sides, Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany have occupied the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, quickly defeating it's weak armed forces - which had creation of the Independent State of Croatia with the Ustashi movement on the top as the result. http://media.moddb.com/images/mods/1/26/25509/2014-08-01_00001.jpg http://i.imgur.com/WbRAsQN.jpg http://i.imgur.com/xKyhpmg.jpg http://i.imgur.com/YrL1pRu.jpg http://i.imgur.com/XlF99F1.jpg http://i.imgur.com/J31ZjB9.jpg The Croatian Home Guard (Wehrmacht) - BLUFOR Croatian Home Guard was a name for the regular Armed Forces of the Independent State of Croatia. In cooperation with the Ustashi Militia and other branches of defense, both domestic and foreign ones, the Croatian Home Guard's task was defense of the newly created country from local and foreign enemies. Croatian Home Guard was split in The Ground army, The Navy and The Air Force. National Guard and State's Work Department also represented a part of The Ministry of Home Guard. Croatian Home Guard has not played a major role in the war due to many reasons, some of them being: bad motivation, deserting, turning against the Axis forces (cooperation with the Antifascist Movement), the lack of heavy, especially armored weapons, vehicles, etc. Croatian Home Guard was unable to answer the partisan attacks effectively. http://i1269.photobucket.com/albums/jj598/DegmanCro/2014-06-09_00007_zpsfa8bdc35.jpg http://i1269.photobucket.com/albums/jj598/DegmanCro/2014-07-16_00004_zps42d5341b.jpg 13th Handschar SS Division (1st Croatian) - BLUFOR 13th mountain SS division "The Handschar" was a military unit in the Waffen SS during the World War 2, incorporating the Muslim Croats (todays Bosniaks) and lower number of the Catholic Croats from Bosnia and Herzegovina, volksdeutschers, Kosovo Albanians and people from Rascia Sandžak). It was formed after Chetnik massacres against the Muslims in Eastern Bosnia, as the Muslims demanded weapons and protection from the German authorities, forming the Militia to protect themselves from the Chetnik attacks - which later grew in a whole military formation. In compromise with the Croatian authorities, they were constrained to wear Croatian patches, and they were officially a Croatian division (Bosnia and Herzegovina was acquired by Independent State of Croatia) in The Waffen SS. Basic agreement between the German/Croatian authorities and the Unit's members was to protect their homes and families from the oppossing forces, but that deal was not entirely respected, thus The Handschar division was assigned with additional tasks. The Handschar division was also the only known SS unit to create a rebellion against the Axis forces after it was about to be sent to France. http://i1269.photobucket.com/albums/jj598/DegmanCro/2014-07-14_00001_zps4c14c254.jpg http://i1269.photobucket.com/albums/jj598/DegmanCro/2014-07-14_00002_zps84ddec09.jpg http://i1269.photobucket.com/albums/jj598/DegmanCro/2014-07-14_00003_zps5f2029ec.jpg http://i1269.photobucket.com/albums/jj598/DegmanCro/2014-07-14_00004_zpsc24590da.jpg http://i1269.photobucket.com/albums/jj598/DegmanCro/2014-07-16_00001_zps4b254c94.jpg http://i1269.photobucket.com/albums/jj598/DegmanCro/2014-07-16_00002_zps4b5dbc81.jpg http://i1269.photobucket.com/albums/jj598/DegmanCro/2014-07-16_00003_zps83e0ff26.jpg The Liberation movement (National Liberation Movement - NOP/NOB/NOR) - OPFOR The term "national liberation" was meaning in communist terminology for the liberation of all the nations and nationalities from the Yugoslavia from foreign occupants, but as well fight against Croatian, Slovenian and Serbian << reactionary Capitalist clicks >>, which << with help of English imperialism are trying to get back old condition from the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, which ruined nations of KY >>. It meant the fight for << the brothership of all the nations from The Balkans >> and << the unified work class >> as well. Or shorter: it was a socialist revolution in the Yugoslavia which fought the Nazi/Fascist occupants (with use of partisan warfare tactics), and Ustashi forces alongside Croatian Home Guard and other collaborationist services respectively, in order to create the Federative Socialist Republic of Yugoslavia - in which all the nations were unified in a one - the Yugoslavian - and they were together in one socialist country. No pictures yet. The Chetnik movement (Serbian king's army) - INDEP Today meaning of the word "Chetnik" is: "Member of Serbian military organisation with clear nationalistic, chauvinist, greater Serbia ideas". In history the word was changing it's meaning, while the first one was revolutionary (same as Ustashi). It was used in 19th century and in the beginning of 20th century in the Serbia, Macedonia and on territory of the Dalmatia. The Chetnik organisation used to exist in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia (1918. - 1941.). In the Second World War there were several variants of "the Chetniks", but all of them, even if sometimes they had actions against the occupants, had kvislin character. They had open cooperation with the Germans and Italians, and sometimes even with Ustashi forces. On other hand, the Chetnik movement was supported by the Allies and in beginning of the war - partisans too. At end of the war they were hostile to everyone - including the Axis forces and Anti Fascist Movement in Yugoslavia. No pictures yet. Any kind of help in development is welcome. mistyronin 1181 Posted August 1, 2014 WWII content for non-IFA3 users? Awesome! If I'm not wrong it's a A3 mod that uses IFA3 as a requirement. Modification is being developed in agreement with IFA3 developers (which I am member of) and IFA3 will be required for playing.

Degman 73 Posted August 14, 2014 hey that looks very good ,whats your plan in the future? More stuff like Partisans, vehicles or a balkan island ? As a matter of fact, I will start to work on partisan in some of following days. They will be wearing basicaly same stuff as Ustashies and Germans, but with some remakes (as they did in reality). Avaible vehicles will be Opel Blitz truck and Kubelwagen in Ustashi colors, as well as ISC Airforce and some light tanks & armored vehicles. But there is no promises, it all depends. Is that a retexture of Iron Front assets or are the models completely new? These are edited Iron Front as mod in Arma 3 assets. I've modified a few things in order to better fit the authenticy (on example: collar, normal maps, shadow maps, some 3D insignia, etc). However, there is also original content avaible: such as my Feš (Handschar's hat) and Man-at-Arms{ZS-HR}'s Ustashi cap (with my 3D insignia).
Flemdot Jr 10 Posted August 15, 2014 Wasn't Croatia a part of Yugoslavia so why not a Yugoslavian flag, or did the separate countries use their own flag, Also didn't Yugoslavia fight against Germany and Italy? Sorry I'm just confused

Degman 73 Posted August 15, 2014 (edited) Wasn't Croatia a part of Yugoslavia so why not a Yugoslavian flag, or did the separate countries use their own flag, Also didn't Yugoslavia fight against Germany and Italy?Sorry I'm just confused Kingdom of Yugoslavia has vanished in WW2, as Italian and German forces occupied it and put Ustashi movement on the top. It wasnt that much "puppet" as people says, but it was an important German and Italian ally on The Balkans (since they needed someone in here to act policeman of the fascism) supplied by Axis forces. ISC actually had own control, laws, armed forces, plans for the future, etc. I doubt we can predict what would happen if Axis forces won the WW2, but fascist and nacy states such as Fascist Croatia and those similar would probably stay untouched (well, there is no logic in giving someone tanks, weapons, equipment, pre-war training, etc. if you want to destroy him later - which is very unlikely and are actually stories from the eastern neighbourds which was created in order to turn Croats agains fascism, so we did) since their governments were close to Hitler and Mussolini themselves, and they would be needed for the control of the neighbourd countries, until they are annexed to superior, fascist countries (in this case part of Serbia would be annexed to Independent State of Croatia; Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro to Great Albania, etc.) which now becomes region policeman and rule of a new fascist system. But, well, it never happened, so there's no need to continue with offtopic. :) Edited August 15, 2014 by DegmanCRO
Mladja-ArmASerbia 3 Posted August 17, 2014 Sorry, but I dont like you using word Sandzak(Sandžak) in first post, the region is not called Sandzak. Its called Raska (Rascia/Raška) originally and its part of Serbia. Otherwise, keep with great work. :)
Degman 73 Posted August 17, 2014 Sorry, I didn't knew that. I tough that Raška (first serbian country - and now just a part of todays Serbia) was somewhere in Kosovo. Anyway, I have edited a first post. Real name is now put instead. Hey, and thanks! :)
