Addon Builder (dev branch)

Since I only use the dev version of the tools...

- Does not incorporate model.cfg when packing PBO

- Seems to not incorporate .rtm files even though specified in the Options of things to pack.

We should investigate the RTMs, but as for the model.cfg, it is a correct behaviour - packing a p3d "cooks" its model.cfg into the binarized p3d :icon_twisted:

Yes I know that, but when it concerns animations, it's not applying them to the model, so the anims are not working, such as folding iron sights when scopes are mounted, even when they're properly referenced.

So in short, the game is baking the .cfg into the model, but it's not recognizing Any animations.

With the current iteration it tells me that Steam isn't running when no shit, it is.

From where do you start AddonBuilder? (steam, the launcher, addonbuilder.exe itself or a batch script)

Opened the Addon Builder through the P drive and put that string in the AddonPrefix field and won't let me add them, saying one or more is invalid, and when it says to discard and I press No, it won't let me go anywhere. When I press Yes it clears the field and therefore can't do shit.

thats what my line looks like and it accepted it. maybe you forgot the ;?

Yeah thanks, works now.

Ran the PBO process and got an error from P:\Binarize\bin\config.cpp...

Yeah I'm not a programmer so no, I won't go to PBO Project.

Good news! Current Addon Builder version transfers animations from the model.cfg (iron sights flip down when optic is mounted, magazine is not visible when not loaded), still the error listed above from when I run through the actual exe, NOT through the Arma 3 Tools launcher, so you guys are on the right track :)

UnPBO'd a binarized PBO and what happens after an Addon Builder PBOing is that it .bin's the config.cpp, and causes Object Builder to crash when trying to open a P3d after the process. So.... yeah it seems to be doing the job, but usually I get a box and says the normal "Hey you can't open this file because it's binarized" stuff, but appears to be doing the job regardless, as I consider it binarizing but still needs to be fixed, I guess.

It doesn't have anything to do with you being or not being a programmer. It's just a better tool. I'm serious, if you haven't tried it give it a go. It's the future of arma addonmaking ;)

I find it funny how people don't understand how people just say no and yet it seems to "inspire" people on here to keep pushing something.

I keep saying I'm not interested in PBO Project anymore, so stop going off-topic about a program that I have no interest in anymore since Addon Builder is working, thank you.

Addon Builder crashes the instant you press the Orange rectangle with the latest build. Everything else (Object Builder at least) seems to be working fine, but Addon Builder is fucked for right now.

I had that issue with one gun. Everytime I clicked on the weapon, instant CTD (all others were kosher) but I opened it up in Object Builder, saved it without editing it and it worked, go figure.
