Paratrooper 0 Posted July 10, 2002 The Glock's clip is also wrong.
r71 0 Posted July 10, 2002 lol the Glocks recoil is wrong for sure. That cheap gun has way more kick then that. Also why do they have that Beretta when they should have the H&K USP. I go out to the gun range alot with my friends and we all agree that the H&K has the best feel. Also about that 10 round thing in the US, we can still buy bigger clips as long as they dont sell them in a new gun I have a H&K USP 40. with 2 13 round clips. One clip has the Golden Saber rounds from Remington and the other has Corbon +P rounds (1300 fps) I will see if I can get a small video of different guns recoil when we go. Mister Frag 0 Posted July 10, 2002 Sorry to be picky, but semiautomatic handguns don't use clips, they use magazines.
N.o.R.S.u 0 Posted July 10, 2002 I think it's a balance issue, the Tokarev T33 has only 8 rounds so West's basic pistol (Beretta) is just made equal to T33. Funny thing is still that why Russians got so old pistol

Mister Frag 0 Posted July 10, 2002 I cringe every time I hear the word "clip" used where "magazine" is the right term. There are of course clips which are used for holding ammunition, but these are either stripper clips (used with rimmed centerfire cartridges on rifles) or half-moon clips used to reload revolvers. Semiautomatic handguns use a spring-loaded container to hold the ammunition. This is a magazine. As I said, I'm being picky...
r71 0 Posted July 10, 2002 np here thanks for the heads up on that. I would like to see a bit more kick on them if they have more power then a 9mm. I dont know jack about the Tokarev T33. I am sure they gave it 8 rds for a reason. Maybe its ment to carry under your clothes or it could be a large round.
AntiPasta 0 Posted July 10, 2002 this is the 3rd time I say it, but I WANNA 1911! (at least in the game, that is) Damn it's no more than realistic to have one in, moreover a .45 would be a nice change
Turkish 0 Posted July 10, 2002 Frag, I know what you mean. The military drilled it into me that a clip is something that fastens one thing to another. The magazine is what contains the rounds fired by your weapon. Revolvers use clips, if they are firing rimless ammunition. The old S&W 1917 is a good example, firing .45 ACP rounds from 2 half-moon clips. But those are actually referred to as clips, unlike pistol magazines. JJonth Cheeky Monkey 1 Posted July 10, 2002 It should be a Makerov instead of a TT33, they were outphased in the 50s and replaced with the Makerov Most mag capacities are wrong in the game TT33 is correct, 8 rounds Cz75 is wrong, 15 not 14 (ooh 1 round) Glock 17 is wrong, 17 not 14 92F is wrong, 15 not 10 and the military model is called the M9 and they were introduced untill the 90s, to replace the 1911 so thats why its still called the 92F, but it should be a 1911 instead Skorpion is correct, but the rate of fire is way out, real one does 15 rounds per second and is almost uncontrolable The sights on all of them are set for 200-300m, so are perfect for sniping, which is really easy I dont think they balanced them out, because this game is more of a simulator than a proper FPS made for Multiplay, i just dont think BIS knows s##t about pistols, sorry BIS
nyles 11 Posted July 10, 2002 I always thought TT33's used endless magazines...at least that's what John Woo tought me. j/k Seriously, the pistols need a lot of work, yes. ammo loadouts, accuracy and recoil should be definetly changed. Furthermore I would also like to see correct pistols like the makerov and the colt1911. Just add them with a patch and replace the default loadouts of those units in the game which come with pistols. Could be a bit tricky, but IMHO it would be worth the effort. Ohh, and tracers on pistols should really go.
shadow 6 Posted July 10, 2002 Decent sounds for 'em would be a plus too. They all except the T33 sound like pee-shooters. The Glock 17 and the Beretta 92 is practically identical in sounds in real-life. The Beretta-sound (in-game) seems to be muted quite alot and the Glock sound like a .22LR (I own a Browning Buckmark .22 too)

Major Fubar 0 Posted July 11, 2002 Can you say anal retentive? Clip, mag, whatever...I'm sure everyone knows what we mean when we use these terms. If someone asked me to pass a clip for a Berretta 92, I wouldn't say "sorry, no-can-do, there is no such thing"...I would just throw him a damn magazine! Â I can't believe BIS got something as basic as magazine capacity so wrong!
