Wildcat 0 Posted July 14, 2002 I had just completed Reckoning (the airport mission where you destroy choppers) when I went onto the next mission all my gear was gone. I was about to redo the previous mission when i had a good idea.... anyway... If there is a cutscene before the mission where you lost all your weapons, you can highlight the cutscene and then click revert. When the mission starts up after it shows the cutscene again, all your weapons are back. It worked for me hope it works for you.

PiNs_Da_Smoka 0 Posted July 15, 2002 Man, i tried everything.....litereally, to get my weapons back. Even taking a friends objects.sav and weapons.cfg files and trying to throw them in there, didn't work. Then i threw in my old ones, did what you said, and voila. Thats sweetness man, i actually got mad and stopped playing the campaign because i didn't want to start over. Now, i don't have to Danke

EBass 0 Posted July 16, 2002 Wow, this also works if the mission after reckoning wont load. Simply revert to the cutscene
TMN 0 Posted July 16, 2002 It didn't work for me. I tried reverting to the cutscene before the mission where I lost the weapons, but no luck. I even tried reverting to the previous mission, but they were still gone.

Placebo 29 Posted July 17, 2002 Suma has commented on a lot of things since he returned, bug reports etc, yet he's either ignored or not seen this one, shame really as it's the fundamental point to Resitance, salvage weapons and use them to benefit the resistance's fight against the Soviets, wonderful idea, however....... 1. It's very poorly implemented, yes we know Resistance was rushed but would it have delayed things all that much to implement a proper salvage system? You really thought we wouldn't mind spending an hour to pick up weapons one at a time and transfer them to a vehicle one at a time? Glad you value our time so much 2. Not only don't you give us a properly implemented salvage system but you managed to let a horrendous and glaring bug slip through which means we spend hours salvaging weapons only for them to vanish, thank you again

Greg 0 Posted August 5, 2002 I, like the original poster, encountered this problem just after completing the 'Reckoning' mission. Perhaps the problem is related to this mission or the cut scenes after it. My apologies if this is obvious.

suma 8 Posted August 5, 2002 Any details about how does this bug happen? Any Revert is used before? Or maybe Restart, Rerry or program exit and restart?
lonesoldier 0 Posted August 5, 2002 "If someone is able to provide us some reliable step-by-step guide how to reproduce it, it will really help us fixing it. " Well, Didnt you guys make the game? You should know how problems like that arise and how to fix them. Anyway can you make the weapons save just like the missions save when you pass them? Try doing it that sort of way somehow. It just append on the next mission. I am on the mission "estimate" (Airport mission at night). End of the mission. Two cutscenes. 1/2* New mission "fireworks" At this point when I enter on the folder equipment to manage my gears for the next attack the folder is empty  For me the only one solution is to REVERT to the second (2*) cutscene and my gears are back. I am now in the mission "pass". If I try to REVERT the mission "pass" I have all my gears. So at this point I have just a problem with the mission "fireworks". Suma if you need my "Saved" folder to do some test, you can download the file here ~672kb Gourka
Nagual 0 Posted August 5, 2002 Hmm, After reading this thread, i loaded up the campaign. I finished it ages ago, with no inventory problems, then after reading this choose the replay option for the hostage rescue mission, and there was no briefing inventory when it loaded. My squad still had weapons, but victor troska had nothing, so it seemed that the Loadstatus was not "loading his status". Edit: I just choose replay for the fireworks mission later in the campaign to see if the inventory was there, and it wasn't. This time victor troska did load weapons from the previous mission, but the fillweaponsfrompool obviously failed due to no pool.
Zardoz 0 Posted August 5, 2002 I *think* I've encountered this (un-)famous problem too twice, but *think* I had means that I actually need more proof, hard facts, to make a positive statement. For that purpose, question to Suma et al.: is it possible to provide a simple commandline-tool (or s/th similar that's easy and fast do program) that from a given campaign-savegame could extract the weapon-and ammocollection the player has at his/her hands to a textfile? That textfile could easily show if the bug has hit and by this means would help a lot to reproduce and track downe the bug. Thanks for reply, Z

This is however a different bug then the one we are talking about now - weapons lost during campaign progress.
dayglow 2 Posted August 5, 2002 This is how it happenned for me. I got to the mission 1st Strike and I did a 'dry run' to see how it played out. I went through the mission until I was killed and I then continued because I was done for the day. The next day I went to play and I tried again and with the same results. Now I wanted to go back and change the weapon loadsouts on my men so I continued to the mainscreen, reloaded the mission and then I went to the weapons page to find that I was missing my inventory. I believe the bug has something do do with when you replay a mission over and don't touch the weapons, but leave like they were the last time. Then when you return the next time the weapons in hand stay, but the reserves are wiped out. Hope this helps COLINMAN
dayglow 2 Posted August 6, 2002 Suma is there any chance that you could release a campaign save editing tool? This way we could add the equipment that we lose until a patch is figured out. Also it would help us that are already into the campaign and have no desire to replay a ton of missions to get back to where we are. COLINMAN
timmy 0 Posted August 6, 2002 ive restarted the campagin several times to no avail. always on the hostages mission is where the bug happens. I play all the levels leading up to it without reverting or replaying a level. Ive also tried to revert the cutscene before the level in which the bug occurs, but this does not work either. Ginbo 0 Posted August 6, 2002 The way I get the bug to work (I can't believe I'm saying that) is by simply getting past level 4 and then quitting. Then, I try to play level 5, after restarting the game, and alas! All the weapons are gone. I hope this gets fixed soon, because I'm at my wits end! I love this game more than any other ever, however, and it was a dream come true when the demo was released. Thanks for supporting your fan-base, unlike some (Lions) companies (Head).
