vran. 13 Posted May 24, 2015 Was thinking more about flame tank design. While trying to keep nostalgic feelings, I also want some essence of gritty realism. I think perhaps it can be based on the T-55 chassis. Two flame nozzles replace the main cannon. The napalm canisters would be attached to the back-top portion of the turret. Good luck on that, I have yet to see a flame tank in OFP/CWA. :) Was making some retextures for some made-up GDI and NOD tanks and some Libyan ones but progress is slow due to 'distractions'. :p Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I forgot to mention a slight error popup on the main title screen about the 30mm on Macser's ORCA Assault Craft. That'll be fixed soon. I was quite a bit excited for this new stuff to get released so that people have things to play with for missions. I will probably release a couple hotfixes soon, but I wanted to get it out to the community. :) Expect a new promo vid/trailer sometime! :D Also just a couple of visual probs with the HMMWV and the T-55, but can be easily fixed. Macser 776 Posted March 26, 2016 Because I don't use 1.96. It's just force of habit. When I did use 1.96 I always put that version number in. Revan, just set the RequiredVersion entry to 1.9 or 1.96. Revan9190 132 Posted March 26, 2016 Need to fix some things on the T-55. I fixed the muzzle flash problem (thank goodness for it being easy fix). I just need to fix a couple of things in Oxygen and all set there. It's a simple design, yet can provide not only cover to gunners inside, but also a height advantage. Well trained riflemen and machinegunners posted in the guard tower can cut swaths through enemy infantry and even provide heavy suppression against lightly armored vehicles, such as Technicals and the Brotherhood's modified DPV. The only thing more powerful compared to the guard tower in GDI's arsenal is the advanced guard tower, equipped with massive amounts of rockets to repel heavy armored and air attacks. But together, both the guard tower and the A.G.T. can be deadly to any attacking force. Though they are separate, you can use this simple code to get it in there: this setpos [(getpos gt select 0), (getpos gt select 1) + 1,(getpos gt select 2)+5.15] Whereas 'gt' is whatever name you give the tower. Macser 776 Posted April 14, 2016 Thanks Revan. :) If some folks are wondering why things aren't super detailed, it's for two reasons. I deliberately didn't want to go too far, in terms of geometric complexity. And I got the models done much more quickly than I usually would. Speed modeling in essence. Although some of the textures are fairly big on the buildings, I tried to keep it to one or two. Given the size of the buildings and the nature of them,I couldn't really go any smaller. Using more textures would've defeated the purpose of keeping the detail reasonable/playable. They could of course be scaled down at any time. Play around with the values for setpos to get the location of the weapon where you want it. The setpos array elements equate to [X,Y,Z] relative to the tower, for anyone who didn't already know. The ammo magazine is part of the stand because selections for vehicles have no weights. If it had been on the ground the feed chute would either separate from the magazine, or distort terribly. Anything to help an awesome modder! :) Yeah, I think I'll adjust the X value a bit more when placing it in the init field so it's a bit more centered so the minigun ammo cartridge doesn't clip with the side of the tower. I personally think the textures are great in-game and the stuff is very well optimized. BTW, I have to fix the helipads again because the animation texture doesn't wanna go again for some reason. For important reasons, which are no business to us, Macser, as of the 24th of this month at midnight Greenwich Mean Time, had to leave for awhile. I can show you the progress he was making on the models that he was about to deliver me, but couldn't get them to me before he left. I will show them in a minute. I'm going to type a list here of items that we still need for both GDI and Nod's arsenal of weapons, along with a few defensive structures that I would like help with if anyone's willing. ----- GDI ----- Vehicles: M270 MLRS (there are models out there, but permissions are shady at best), Hovercraft (will also be on Nod's list, because they used them a few times), Mobile Construction Vehicle (will also be a Nod version obviously. This vehicle wouldn't have any animations to "unpack" into the ConYards provided by Macser. It'd act like a large truck (with tracks in front, wheels in back. With enough scripting, I suppose in a mission you can have it "deleted" and replaced by the ConYard building, or... have it "unpacked" the mission after), Gunboat. Structures: Advanced Guard Tower (http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/cnc/images/1/16/AdvancedGuardTower_CC1_Rend1.png/revision/latest?cb=20090622082806), Advanced Power Plant (will wait for Macser to get back on this one), Tiberium Silo (empty, full, half-full. Support Weapons: Ion Cannon Strike ("Ion Cannon Ready" and then a massive blue beam above). ----- Nod ----- Vehicles: Stealth Tank, Flame Tank, Hovercraft, C-130 (unsure where to obtain permission to reskin an existing model), F-22 (need permission to reskin existing model), MCV, Artillery (M110), SSM (would be on same chassis on M270, but have two missiles in a locked firing angle). Structures: Temple of Nod, Turret, SAM Site, Airfield, Tib. Silo, Communications Center, Repair Facility, Adv. Pwr. Plant (again, waiting for Macser). Support Weapons (not visible): Nuclear Strike (People would hear, "Missile Launched", "Missile Incoming", and then a missile will be seen, but it'd be too late and BOOM. lol) If anyone is willing to contribute the aforementioned models, that would be brilliant, but of course I'm going to see if I can't find royalty free models (and obviously credit the author) and modify them for game usage.
