Looking for...Hmmwv

Whatever happend to the idea of an HMMWV and BRDM with weapons mounted to them like MGs. I mean we could use those now that some people have Oxygen. They would be tactically useful and offer more protection with a turret than just the regular mount on the back of the Jeep which is very vulnerable. Plus we could have models that have thing like MK19s or lighter weapons like M249s or FN-Mags or a M60 ( sorry don't know too many russian MGs)

i guess the addon will be based on jeep with gun in some aspect. if it has guns on top, closest that comes to it is that jeep, and adjusting positions and such would be done through O2 for easiest result.

maybe it's too easy, and that's why it's not interesting...

I think you would find many people did...I am far from the first person to make this kind of request about topic titles in Addons & Mods...

major fubar is right. i expected a new mod or addon to download. by the way, why wont you just download that Xa-188 Patria UN Version at ofp-zone. looks quite much like the brdm but with a machinegun on top

yup, but imagine the civilian motorcycle with TOW launchers on both sides(or rockets, sidewinder, AA versions, AT versions). like that nod bike in command & conquer if you have seen it. that would be something!

One more thing, I'm going to attempt to make a Hummer Wagon, and Hummer 2 door for civillian sides (maybe resistance). I might include an old russian MG in the back of the two door. i'll keep you posted

I've never seen a Russian weapon mounted on a Humvee nor many civilian Humvees in Eastern European countries. However there are many different types of military humvees that I think you could work on such as the ambulance model, the troop carrier model (with a canvas cover and open back), and the regular non-armored versions. There's also a maintenance version, and a command post version. There's even a very nice air defense version that combines .50 cal guns and Stinger missles on a turret that mounts on the back of a Humvee. Any of those I think would be more useful. If you want to make something for the civilians or Resistance, it would be best to make something based on something that a guerilla forces use in real life.

Personally I'm still waiting for someone to make a DShK 12.7mm Russian heavy machine gun (to replace the silly Russian M2 in the game since Russians don't use M2 machine guns in real life). A Toyota pickup with a DShK HMG on the back might be more realistic for a Resistance vehicle.

A motorcycle with rockets? Come on, what is this? Chuck Noris in "The Delta Force" ?  LOL or whats other chessy movie made in the 70's/80's where there is some sort of super top secret multi-nation commando force who have bikes that parachute from a C-130 with ppl on them and then roar around the desert destroying tanks with their MG';s and rockets? LOL

When's the last time you've seen even a HMMWV (let alone a motorcycle) with rockets mounted on it?  No, mount a fifty caliber machine gun on the top.

the motorcycles are (were) just liaison tools such as light transport aircrafts , keep in mind that a motorbike is something light , it can't be armed like a tank or a light armored vehicle, the few attemps to arm motorbikes (i'm talking about proper motorbikes , not side cars) shown that it was almost impossible to use "heavy" weapons on them

loads of things can be mounted on a humvee , m60 , m2 , mk19 , tow ...
