I just dont like all the people playing it, the worst community in the history of gaming IMO.

If i play it i mute all the other players(you cant even see what they are typing ) and then i put The Kovenant on my stereo and just frag away

It also gets boring after like 10 min.

Only thing CS has over OFP is the smoothness. But thats just cause the maps are so damn small!

And the crosshairs lockedi n the center of the screen. I like that better than how it is in OFP.

Are you kidding?!? Thats one of the coolest things about OFP, your guy doesnt have move his whole body just to move his rifle, but it would be neat with a slider in options so you could set how much it would move.

I had fun with CS until all the 1337 hax0rz started playing and made it annoying and full of cheats.

Now I play OFP because generally people who play online are far more mature..and you generally see more teamwork in one game than you ever see on even the best CS servers. Plus you cant fly a helo or drive a tank in CS. When you get a good driver/gunner combo, a tank can be a wicked killing machine.

So:

CS = Has been llama fest

OFP = Excellent game not ruined by 1337 h@x0rz

The interesting thing about the latest patches is that they made it so u slow down when u jump and the hitboxes were changed so its harder to bunk ppl onto crates yet they made running and shooting with rifles easier

There really aren't as many hackers as people think there are in CS.

And you can drive things. But there aren't any guns on them. Well, you can take a jeep and get a guy with a para to ride with you making it a jeep w/MG

As far as helos.. I know in TFC you can create a helo with a certain modification that some servers have. I belive it's called NEO TF. It's wicked, but you aren't in the helo as you fly it. You create it, your orignal body stays in place unti lthe helo is destroyed.

CS. Was great in betas. 1.0-1,1 saw the invasion of the noobs. 1.3 started really sucking. 1.4-1.5 Really isn't very good anymore.

OFP. Great.

OFP:R get the bugs work out and it will be greater!

I'm not a big fan of CS, but DOD on the other hand....man I love that game. It's hard to control the recoil, but the maps are just great and the atmosphere is right on. Plus the community doesn't seem that bad. I gave up on Firearms b/c of the people playing. I kept getting teamkilled because I liked using the M-60 in a support role and people said I was camping.

I'm waiting for Infiltration 2.87 to come out. I love that mod and the fact that you need to use the iron sites to aim.

What makes it gay? The fact that everyone who plays it is convinced that it is sooo realistic, and then they go off on their merry bunnyhopping, running around in scope-view way. The people who play it. I did some math, and on the average CS server, there are .5 reasonable, friendly, non l3375P34K people to play with. Thats right, less than one per server on average. Did I mention the little ass maps? I guess they were tolerable pre Delta Force, but now with OFP etc that shit just dont pass muster no more. The weapons next. Running around, jumping with a Para machine gun, no problem. The magic AWP, with its ability to kill you by nicking your finger. The Ak47, that the terrorists hold at waist level Rambo style and still manage to hit me while bouncing all over the place (and they werent even cheating). Which brings me to the next reason it is gay. The cheaters. Theyre gay. No wait, they arent gay, because I know gay people who would be insulted to be put on the level of cheaters by my vulgar verbiage. Cheaters suck. And swallow. And of course, the fact that people are so simple minded that they can play the SAME 7 MAPS FOR OVER 2 YEARS WITHOUT ANY SIGNIFICANT GAMEPLAY CHANGES, well, thats just gay because it shows how dumb most people are.

Now, Ill admit, I had my CS phase, but it was back in the good old beta .5 or thereabouts, where I didnt even know what the fuck l337 meant, and things were pretty fun. But I got bored after a few months, because it was the same old thing, every single time. Buy, run, jump, kill, camp, kill, die. Rinse and repeat.

OFP has been a real revolution. CS on the other hand became popular because there has been a huge medial hype about it.

THe next game that will rock the world will be Battlefield1942, in this game you map about a quarter of the size of Kolgujev but there are every sorts of vehicules, attack planes, carriers, destroyers, beach-artillery, soldiers with different functions and and and you can use them all.

It has components where it definetly beats OFP: the multiplayer mode is more userfriendly, the engine is better and allows higher frame-rates with better graphics and a low ping at around 150 still works excellent! The whole thing is build as an ego-shooter and has incredible show-effects. I downloaded the single-player demo and it rocks (singleplayer demo is like multiplayer but with AI).

In the full version there are maps for example where one side has to sink a carrier near the coast (carrier can me moved and its artillery can be used as well its planes) and the other side conquer the island. It is incredible you can jump into a plane and use the gun while the other dude flies it to the island.

But OFP is still the most REALISTIC shooter on the market. All those silly games like AA and CS and SOF2 are arcades!

BTW Tex: there is no more bunnyjumping in the newest version of CS!

Yeah, I guess ! But for me OFP is like playing golf, it is strategy! And good multiplayer is like soccer, a dirty sport! I like both without comparing them!

I think DoD is better to play online than OFP. The Player and Weapon Models are amazing, so are the animations, and some of the maps (dod_avalanche and dod_caen2 come to mind)

The weapons are really balanced and the recoil is realistic. OFP isn't too fun online because of the small amount of servers and the lag.

Well still nothing can possibly compare with a good OFP multiplayer game, its intensity just gets into your bones...... and everytime you die you feel like you died in real life... unlike some other games.

After every match I feel pumped up, especially if we win, and I feel like the reason we won was not individual skills, but excellent teamwork, good execution of our plan, and just a desire to be the best. reason y cs is popular= cos people with there 166mhz can play it i saw a discussion on one of there forums when having a look see what these people think and between dumb cheats posts and above the im a cheater and heres a screeny post there was whats ur lowest system specs. The games like wolf 3d, but i liked wolf 3d its repetive and now i beleive it is dieing.

Ofp just rocks its online play excllent but lacks needed features to make it more popular online, there r sum bad times ive been playin on stoners recently and often ive been defending the whole game and did 0 , there were 3 of us on an island and started playing with bombs, our fire works show we eventually blew ourselfs up. I came back to use up all the aa ammo and fired over 50 rockets in the general direction of west base. Yesterday was booted from trying to hit a m1a1 that was attacking our guys with the empty mi17 i had after letting my guys out, i lined it up ejected crash i land m1a1 looks dead i think one of my guys got it and boom im kicked, rejoined mi17s r not missles he sez i say well neither where the planes the japanese sucide pilots used(not all sum where rockets with a bomb on the frount) now this is where if we had jip i wouldnt have been so annoyed.

albert that's probably because you don't play in a squad, i've had my best games ever in my life with a squad. every game has also been different, sometimes slow, sometimes fast and extremely furious, every death counts and the final objective is a team win not the individual stats.

speaking of individual stats i quit CS at 1.3 because i got sick of hearing "YOU HAX0R YOU GOT A KILL RATIO OF 15-5!!! ADMIN KICK THIS FGT!" every time directed at every good player on the server. oh and the forums suck i'm sorry to say, worst community ever.
