Low quality on Oxygen's Bulldozer...

Recommended Posts

Heyoh! I have realized one thing... By seeing people's screenshots from oxygen and comparing them to my one it seems that my Oxygen's Bulldozer view has a low quality... What I mean is that everything looks not good as it should do ingame...

My config of the bulldozer:

language="English";

adapter=-1;

3D_Performance=1500000;

Resolution_Bpp=32;

Resolution_W=1920;

Resolution_H=1080;

refresh=60;

winX=573;

winY=336;

winW=1215;

winH=664;

winDefW=1908;

winDefH=1043;

Render_W=1440;

Render_H=900;

FSAA=0;

postFX=0;

GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1000;

GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=3;

HDRPrecision=8;

lastDeviceId="";

localVRAM=2129579488;

nonlocalVRAM=2129579488;

Anything to add/change? I am sure Im missing something because to for some reason I have to ZOOM in extremely closely to see the textures look proper!

I remember I also had this problem some time ago but strangely enough it disappeared.

Are you using the 2.5.1 (OA) tools?

This is what my config looks like:

Resolution_Bpp=32;

Resolution_W=1920;

Resolution_H=1080;

refresh=60;

winX=8;

winY=30;

winW=1471;

winH=867;

winDefW=1662;

winDefH=980;

Render_W=1280;

Render_H=900;

FSAA=2;

postFX=0;

GPU_MaxFramesAhead=1000;

GPU_DetectedFramesAhead=1;

HDRPrecision=8;

lastDeviceId="";

localVRAM=2147483647;

nonlocalVRAM=2147483647;

vsync=1;

AToC=0;

PPAA=3;

PPAA_Level=2;

hmmmm ... I've been running a game EXE instead for a long while, maybe the others posting screenshots are too.

Maybe try that.

Use + and - to zoom, the closer in you zoom the better the texture quality gets; however, it does make it a little difficult to navigate and if you move the camera too close the model it clips and looks weird.

There is some sweet spot of zoom and camera distance where the textures are at their best.

Yes but the problem is, even up close its low quality, I have to zoom in ALL THE WAY to the max to have proper quality...

The sweet spot is not zoomed all the way in and it's not zoomed all the way out, and it's not close but it's not super far.

what texture sizes are you using? It may be system dependant, but I found that besides the above, 4096x4096 textures were none-too-happy being shown in hi-res in buldozer, whilst 2048x2048 has no problem

Most of the textures are on 2048x2048 and 1024x1024 nothing bigger than that.

have you set your gfx options for bulldozer up like you do in game as bulldozer does have settings worth a check think its f1 when bulldozer is open brings up a menu set all to high same as in game.

After reinstalling my arma2, i've the same problem. I created a car. In my buldozer, the grafic for rpm and speed was very low! In game, it's top.

I changed some settings, but the problem is still there. :(

Just do what I do...it doesn't necessarily fix the problem directly, but I get a relatively accurate display of what it will look like in game.

Select entire model -----> ctrl-shift & Drag RMB to ridiculous size.

Ctrl-Z when done inspecting.

Crude, but I'm over messing with these tool's settings and breaking more than I fix in regards to stuff like this.
