wok 1 Posted March 25, 2013 I am starting to land helicopters on first person view, but I encounter a problem. I have setup my "collective lower" as LControl, and when I am holding it to land, if I move the mouse to control the heli, it doesn't work. What it does is it moves the camera, either to the left or it zooms a little like for checking the compass (it seems to have 4 positions, center, center-zoomed, left, left-zoomed). At first I though this had to do with the "adjust" stances control, since I also use LCtrl for that, but I tried removing it and it keeps doing the same while inside an heli in 1st person, I checked other controls and nothing seems to be using LCtrl+mouse. So, does anyone knows what "action" I am doing when holding LCtrl + moving mouse left or up while inside an heli in first person view? and how can I disable it? BusStopWilly 1 Posted March 25, 2013 Hmm, it would seem that holding LCtrl and moving the mouse activates the 'Where's me keys, where's me phone' mode. ;)
wok 1 Posted March 25, 2013 This is the only info I could find http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=162 At least I know im not the only one now :P Does anyone has an idea on how to "fix" this?
Smurf 12 Posted March 25, 2013 Didn't check it ingame yet, but might be a leftover from TkOH and it's clickable stuff?
wok 1 Posted March 25, 2013 Didn't check it ingame yet, but might be a leftover from TkOH and it's clickable stuff? It could be, I don't have TKOH (yet) but I was watching this video and the "views" that LCtrl+mouse give you kinda seems to watch at where the starter/throttle is in that video, I don't think there's any clickable stuff on a3 while on that view (i tested in the littlebird). Predator.v2 10 Posted March 26, 2013 i have the problem that E always puts the nose down even though i want to use it for something else Yes, same here. Probably some A2 left over for fast forward (in auto hover).
wok 1 Posted March 26, 2013 Yes, other people seem to be having similar problems like with the E key. But from what I see in the feedback website the issues are not very popular, only have a few vote, so I don't think it's getting fixed anytime soon. Let's hope it's fixed on the final release at least.
Fuse 1 Posted March 26, 2013 (edited) E key is simply double-bound in the config. Edit it with notepad. Instructions are on the Feedback tracker. As for LCtrl in vehicles: to me it looks like you're changing stance/leaning. I've seen people saying they want to lean in vehicles multiple times. I always point out that you can but get ignored. To fix it you stop pressing LCtrl while driving or rebind your stance adjust key. At least that's my bet. There are already a dozen feedback tickets for this "issue" (which I'm betting is a feature), and a dozen more asking for it to be added even though it already works. *SMH* Edited March 26, 2013 by Fuse

I am not sure if there's another feedback page or you talk about the forums but on arma 3 feedback website I only found this issue http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=
Fuse 1 Posted March 26, 2013 I just bound collective lower to a different key, but have you tried modifying your controls in your profile manually (via a text editor)? It looks to me like LCtrl is double bound (maybe even triple), if I'm reading it right. I'll have to test in game later. I do apologize. I have no idea how I missed the bit where you said you unbound Adjust.
Sarlac 1 Posted March 27, 2013 Guys you can change all key bindings in game without editing config files.

The only "fix" I found so far it what you said, not using LCtrl for the heli, I guess I will have to use Capslock and Shift instead of Shift and LCtrl for collective and wait to see what BIS do or say about it. wok 1 Posted April 23, 2013 The ticket about this issue http://feedback.arma3.com/view.php?id=162 changed the status to "assigned", does someone knows what that means?
viper[cww] 14 Posted April 24, 2013 it's been assigned to Zeloran to fix or check.
wok 1 Posted April 24, 2013 omg I love bis so much, I can't believe they even paid attention to a ticket with only 7 votes.
myngos211 10 Posted April 26, 2013 i have the problem that E always puts the nose down even though i want to use it for something else Yup, found that out the hard way. I have a CyberSnipa game pad and though Q&E would be better alternative for down/up controls but it seems to be hardcoded as 'extra' speed forward such as in a land vehicle. Had to re-map after a minor 'incident' with a few on board.
