Right now, it result impossible to me to do any "urban firefight" with any type/number of soldiers, FPS seems to be dropped down by buildings (9-10FPS). This issue happened with ArmA 2 too. I'm thinking that maybe can be a "pathfinding" problem concerning the AI tactical movements throug. My Specs are: - Intel COre I 5 3.20 GHz 3.20 GHz - 10 GB Ram - NVIDIA GeForce ZOTAC GTX

BelgarionNL 10 Posted March 20, 2013 it probably won't be fixed! they couldn't fix it in arma 2 and since the original AI programmers are gone they are just tinkering with the code without fully understanding what they are doing! the AI engine is from operation flashpoint! SmallBlackSheep 0 Posted March 20, 2013 Why do FPS drop in multiplayer? Server FPS? Servers can't handle the AI?

victim913 10 Posted March 20, 2013 (edited) Well the AI has been exceptional. I wouldn't want them to do too much to the AI. They have been aggressive and they actually move around you to get behind you. They make it feel more realistic. If they lose you they scatter and try to find you rather than laying down then eventually just standing back up and back to original task. They dont stop until you are dead. I have a pretty good system and i can't even get into the 30's. The shadows have taken a bigger toll then in OA. I get the biggest gain if i disable shadows. It looks bad though. and terrain too. I think they over estimate how much importance we put in graphics. From the begining, they have been pushing the look rather than play. I think most of us were happy with quality of video in OA and would rather have them focus on game play with smaller focus on graphics. They have designed the game for high settings with the option for us to lower our quality. Instead they should design based on middle settings with the option for us to go higher. For example: while driving, you can now see your hands turn the steering wheel. That was one of their teasers at the begining. To me, thats completely useless. Thats something that should be optional for those that can handle everything. Same with some of the effects that are standard in the game. There's just alot more going on in the game now that might not be so necessary. The good thing is that with this development version we can see the chnges and tell them these things so they can fix it before beta. my fps have been getting better. Either way its tough for them to make us all happy. But I think AI should not lose ANYTHING. Edited March 20, 2013 by victim913

The AI flank u and push forward, this is the best AI i ever seen in combat situation. But anyhow, to have a combat in a urban contest is still impossible for me :(
NeuroFunker 11 Posted March 20, 2013 20 fps with about 200 AI firefight. And coop with friends. core i5 4,3ghz 12gb ram geforce 670gtx 1,2ghz gpu I say overclock ur stuff as high as you can, it really makes the differnce.
victim913 10 Posted March 20, 2013 I haven't tried the urban area yet, i keep trying to get it to be playable for the showcases. I'll try it with this latest build. I hope they fix it because I think most of us have good computers and still can't play. Even during their showing off the game at those conventions and stuff, they had to adjust their computer, taking the cover off to get it to cool cause it was too hot for their computers. I'm afraid this game might really hurt BI once it gets in more peoples hands. People just don't have money to keep upgrading their set ups. And it's not just upgrading. You have to have an above excellent set up to play this game how it's designed and people will give up and just play games they don't have to sell their house to afford.. And this is my most favorite of all.

NeuroFunker 11 Posted March 20, 2013 of course, and by ram. The less detailed they are, the more performance you will have.
