lolipoyi 10 Posted March 17, 2013 Could somebody confirm or deny the existence of backblasts in the Alpha?
Guest Posted March 17, 2013 I don't think we will see this in vanilla Arma 3. You will most likely have to wait for ACE mod to add such features.
Smurf 12 Posted March 17, 2013 Just smoke get kicked up. But the launchers in the Alpha are just palceholders, they are still working on it. Sadly no prone animation to it and I would like to see something more real when firing, two "booms" instead of the "shhhhshhh.." followed by some silly smoke (when its the case). Proper disposable ATs also would be nice.
lolipoyi 10 Posted March 17, 2013 Ok, thanks for the quick answers.
mr_centipede 31 Posted March 17, 2013 To reiterate: The only backblast we have right now is only the visual effects. The physical effects (person standing behind it) are not available (yet, probably)
Steakslim 1 Posted March 17, 2013 I think i'm just repeating what has already been said that while it would be nice to see backblast implemented in vanilla, we will probably have to wait for it to be modded in like the previous ArmA installments. Then again BIS has surprised us with what they've added so far.
scrim 1 Posted March 17, 2013 IIRC, the RPG-42 is fictional, and the NLAW has a soft launch, so standing behind it shouldn't be terrifiyngly dangerous.
johncage 30 Posted March 17, 2013 fictional=/=breaks laws of physics.
scrim 1 Posted March 17, 2013 Nah, fictional=might be soft launch, like the NLAW.
